there's a japanese movie with a similiar story, based on real people before their wedding the girl gets an illness and goes into a coma for about 8 years, and her fiance stays by her, they fall in love again. (she becomes like a child and has to learn how to live again and looses her memories.) it's called *8 year engagement*
