Recorded just before what would later be known as Neil's brief "gay summer" of 1966.
Sand seems to be a sometime theme in his songs. Somewhere on the Internet there are home movies of Nick at the beach with his parents when he was only a toddler very very young. Running running all over the sand in and out of the waves looking very happy same face just a smaller little person. I wonder if he looked back on those days fondly..
Apparently he didn't look at anything fondly. He was known to be very depressed and depressing to be around.
Aw come on.. Of course he was depressed, but he’s gone now and things didn’t end well for him so let’s not dog on him!!
