ABOUT 'Dawn's Embrace':

Dawn's Embrace is a short, thematic guitar solo in the key of A major. I aimed to write a less technical melodic solo focused on control. There's a clear motif development as the solo follows an AABA structure. At first sight, It may seem like an easy solo, but the challenge is in the details here :-) Try finding a good tone (with a lot of overdrive and sustain), and pay special attention to the rhythm (and pauses), the embellishments, and the intonation of the bends. The melody has a positive, uplifting, majestic feeling (coming from the key of A major and the slow but steady tempo. This made me think of a theme or anthem accompanying the morning dawn (hence the name Dawn's Embrace). I took some inspiration from tracks like "Revelation" by Joe Satriani.

- First solo video with my new Sigma Prime camera lens (very happy with it!)
- First solo video, entirely played and produced with Universal Audio gear. The amp model I used is their Suhr PT 100. The delay is the Waves Manny Marroquin Stereo Delay.
I hope you like this video! I had a very busy summer gigging, so I'm happy to finally release this one.
