Utah Sand Caves in Kanab!
This rock climb was a bit much for this almost 60 year old but it really was worth it! It’s about 1.5 miles round trip hike to the climb. There is a rope to help you with the climb. Wear good shoes with traction as the sandstone is slippery where there is loose sand on it. Probably not the best for dogs or young kids. Our flower fields have been a long time dream of mine and this year we made it happen! We had never heard of this National Park but what an awesome treat! Located in New Mexico. We stayed a Magnuson Motel near by and had a great stay at a location that was close and dog friendly! Bring a snow disc with you and you can "sled" down the sand dunes. They also have them to rent but it's like $20 and a line to get one. We will definitely be revisiting this location!
