The 2nd section drifts off into whimsical fragmented ideas evoking a dream state represented by the frequent modulations of key, before returning home to D major and my signature harmonics ending. There's a real swagger in Jacob do Bandolim's playful theme that's carried by the amazing rhythmic drive of the ensemble Época de Ouro on the 1961 LP 'Chorinhos e Chorões'. Here I try to evoke those elements into a solo version for guitar. DdV
