Welcome to my channel, I started making resin like most people in lockdown as a way to destress! I absolutely love this little hobby and creating beautiful projects that I now sell at craft markets.
Resin art is created when a runny chemical called epoxy resin is combined with various colour pigments and additives to produce a blend of unique patterns and textures. The resin mixture gradually hardens (when mixed with a hardener) to a solid plastic as a chemical reaction between its components takes place. Along with its timeless functionality and simple aesthetic, resin art can appeal to even the most talentless individual, since it requires no drawing or painting abilities.

How can you avoid big bubbles under the foil? I haven't tried this yet, but I think I would pour a little resin into the mold first, and coat the back of the foil before lowering it in. (I'm totally doing two-sided, also.) Then I guess you'd have to carefully coax the foil in and hope for the best. If anyone has some tips for this, let me know!
@@domilontano there are so many ways you can do it to be honest and it depends on your brand of resin as they all have their quirks! It’s all about trial and error. I use a lot of isopropyl alcohol spray which reduces bubbles considerably 🤗
Hello. How did you measure how much resin is needed?
@@МанэМаринэмку so you can fill the mold with water and measure how much you use and that gives you the amount for resin. Been doing this so long that I can judge it now 🤣 good tip is have a few small molds on hand and any left overs you can pour into them 🤗
@Saracopp1976 Thank you very much. I have been looking for information for so long. I have now subscribed to you. I will be glad to see new videos. I wish you success. 🫂💜
@ it’s sometimes hard to find the very basic info! Glad you have joined my channel let me know if there are any projects you want to see 🤗
@@Saracopp1976 Thank you
I LOVE this idea. Thanks for sharing❤
@@tracey1327 not done it for ages and forgot how much fun it is 🤣
Great, but no end shot showing them all. If u use the frilly edge ones for a template now for ur foil and add half an inch on.They shud fit perfectly ❤.
Yes this was an experiment over a year ago definitely refined my technique since then 🤣
Awesome . Very nice idea
Thank you
I tried this. You make this look VERY easy. So pretty!
Thank you so much. Yeah takes a lot of practice and many mistakes!
I like it
Thank you 🙏
I use a tea strainer for micas (when i can gind find mine) for mica powders. I find it helps with the clumping of powders
.youcould try letting the first layer of resin harden, then add foil and more resin to complete coaster
Yes I would do that if the coaster was deeper but it’s very thin which is why I’ve done it this way 🤗
I like the square fosters the best.
I didnt see her add the second layer of resin
I had to cut the video short unfortunately but it’s simply the same process 🤗
Great effects.
Thanks!
guys, if I'm making a candle where do I place the wick since it's empty in the middle? like do I place the wick on one side like left side only ?
Sorry I can’t comment on candle making as this is resin. You can buy these molds from temu though which are specifically for candle making 🤗
What the sense you didn't say what you using and the video is so fast
What the sense? Not sure what you mean! It’s explained in the info that’s it’s tin foil and alcohol ink. I know it’s sped up but you have the option to pause and rewind 🤗
👍
Love this 💜🩵💙💚🩷 so beautiful
Thank you thats very kind 🤗
😪 *promo sm*
I had such a hard time focusing on your work, lovely as it is. This song is just hitting me straight in the heart.
Yea. Me too
I had to silent /mute it,horrible way to ruin a beautiful song😢
Очень красиво.
Awesome jewelry!
Thank you 🤩

Beautiful
Thank you 🤩
You're not clumsy you are an artist l o l
lol calamity!
Wow, beautiful, where did you get the 99.9 alcohol from. Pls tell ❤❤❤😊Lisa
Thank you 🤗 I buy it in large bottles from Amazon
😂😊Hey u don’t know until u know! I’m sure ur familiar enough with resin that the issue wasn’t the resin itself, it was that u over heated it & that made it begin to kick off too soon. If u warm ur resin too much it causes an exothermal reaction. Next time just warm part A or part B in a warm water bath if ur doing it to compensate for colder temperatures. Maybe save the coffee cup warmer for doing small batch tests on single coasters AFTER u have done ur design, or u know 4 Coffee❤! Some blooms react fine to a heat mat & others will begin to spread/thin out. Maybe grab urself a laser thermometer so u can keep an eye on the temp too! Either way, I respect that u shared the video showing that resin is a fickle bitch & not every project goes as planned as many artists make it seem! If ur learning something from ur mistake, then it’s still a success in my book!
Yep I simply left it 5 mins too long 🤣
I purchased these from Amazon but it was more rounded in the back not flat... How would you get a round look?
This mold has a flat back so will come out flat. You could do a dome layer on the back so it was less flat 🤗
Wipes idea is great been struggling with cleaning
One thing I always tell people is buy plenty of baby wipes, isopropyl alcohol and kitchen roll 🤣
I’m a new subscriber! I loved your video and I feel like I’ll learn a lot. I don’t know how I’ve missed you before now. I thought I knew every resin artist on UA-cam! Lol😅. But anyway, thank you!
So glad I can support and encourage other resin lovers! I’m not a professional UA-camr it’s just my hobby 🤣 thanks again for the kind words 🤗
me too , i love your work
I absolutely love your colours x I have a question regarding the resin though.... I also use dipoxy and last night I was making dominos. I'd only made up 90g as it was for a top coat ...there was about 50g left in the cup and. it flash cured as I was syringing it out.... never happened to me before and there was nothing added to it.... have you had that happen at all? I've never had that happen with any other brand I've used so now I'm worried to use it in the thinkers or molds like them
How odd! Might just be the level of time you left it and it started to cure rather than a flash cure!
@@Saracopp1976 I poured fairly quickly, although I did leave it stand for 5 mins. I was using a pipette so did take longer to so than planned but still not long at all
@@naomilawrence5728 I can only presume it was the time it was sat whilst you were working on your project!
Great video!! Thank you for sharing!!♥️ (new subscriber)
Glad I can help 🥰
Very interesting. I hope people can appreciate the work that goes into your pieces
Yes it certainly takes a lot of work and us resin artist can make it look easy with the final result!
@@Saracopp1976 Well I can't say I ever reached your skill level but I did make a few pieces I was really pleased with. You can clearly see your passion and attention to detail in your work. Very inspirational
@@chrisgreig8017 just takes a lot of practice and probably at least a year to perfect the skill!
Im definitely trying these colour combos! Try banging them down onto your table instead of blowing them out. It makes the spread much easier to clean up from and you dont end up breathing it in between blows xx
Simply gorgeous!✌
Thank you 😊
How does it color change? Also I bought your products at the school fair yoday and the are amazing well done. I was so happy to help pack up as well.
Thanks for the hand 🤗 the glitter changes colour as the light hits it!

Hi I would love to get some of those ring blanks but I’ve never seen them. Do you know where you got them from? Or what is that type of ring blank called?
Just ring blanks from Amazon or temu 🤗
Very nice results! ❤
Thanks ☺️
Beautiful 😍
Thanks 🤗
Very pretty. Thank you for sharing x
Thanks, your very welcome 🤗
Gorgeous.
Thank you! 😊
Just found your channel and love what I've seen. Some very pretty items.
Aw that’s really kind! As you can tell my videos are very “rustic” only just started doing them but I thought why not! 🤣🤗
Got to start somewhere. Ypu will get better the more you do.I really enjoyed them. Sometimes I find the crafters talking annoying and prefer just the music.
@@elizabethorr9372 yes I’m the same!
Gorgeous! Newby subscriber here 👋 I too prefer using those type cups. Dig the handle and spout. Much ez-er for details ❤✌️
You get to learn what works for you 🤗
Very cool !! The tiny cups you use are awesome .
Thank you. You can get the cups from Amazon
@@Saracopp1976 I can't wait to try this ...when (if....lol ) my resin arrives. I seem to have been waiting , waiting .....ugh ....lol. Thank you for the inspiration ! I have been painting with acrylics for years and have just become ( ? ) allergic to the paints...or maybe the pigments and powders I add to make them extra gorgeous. Ended up in the ED...so now getting inspiration from resin artists. I have used it in the past to coat pics , but had no idea the beautiful art that can be created inside the resin . It's blown my mind !!! Thank you again for your gorgeous work and the inspiration you have given me. xxx I will check out Amazon for the cups... thank you again !
