Me and Dad appreciate the video!

How did you get the roll pins out of the ends of those stub shafts? I broke an arm off just past the end of the stub shaft and im trying not to break the stub shaft in the process of getting the roll pin out.
a lot of wacks with a hammer and a roll pin punch, they are tight and the stubs can be stuck in the square tubes also.
Yea. I said screw it and welded the arm back on with some extra pieces on the outside for supports. Those arms are rediculously expensive.
@@DustinBurley-cw6lv they are
Very nice sir
That brings back memories of putting hay in the mow, baled and loose hay.
good times
damn your lucky to have found the 6 cylinder turbo, them are great motors an not hard to work on, it sounds really good man ima be here for future installments on this beauty
this truck is very interesting
@@farminwithfergusons im diggin it, i wonder what it did an where it went, its pretty neat being a long frame single axel duelly with a damn coffin sleeper lol, an the straight pipe has a great note to it to, what a sick truck shame its about rotted n half :(
Wow it runs 👍🏻🇺🇸! Well done fella !
i waz supersized as well
It took like some wonky bales of hay , tighten baler😊
Where's the fuel pump on this MF
right below the exhaust
@@farminwithfergusons 👍
I am from New Zealand. We do hay slightly different. We call man portable bales "conventional" as opposed to the big sqares and round bales that require a tractor to more them. We hand stack conventional bales in the hay shed. The elevators we use are all smaller and use a single banger petrol engine. This is the first pto elevator I have seen. We hand stack on the truck/trailer as well. In hill country we don't use hay trailers hitched to the baler as it is to steep and dangerous. Often we put the hayshed in the hay paddock some we can simply sweep the hay bales to the shed.
elevator was powered by electric motor, originally used for grain
Keep trying, you’ll get there !
yaa
😳 "Promo sm"
good video - be better without music
It’s good when you can make your own stuff and save some money! 👍🏻🇺🇸
sure is..artsway bought miller so you can only get sum parts, i had about 1/4 the cost into building them
You got some nice working M-F working tractors.
thanks
That’s nice towing set up !
a little manual labor to get it hookedup, yep worked real good
Brings back memories been there done that
Did you had problem with locking brakes? System is poorly constructed and those models of IMT usually have that problem. Adding spring on disks near piston eliminate that problem. Edit: I see you are already pointed on problem.
yep that side brake would drag, heat up and lock up. was ok fer a while, starting to be a ass ake again. have ta try that
@@farminwithfergusons ua-cam.com/video/bkTbQbWcI5I/v-deo.html No need for translation. Watch video ( just parts you are interested in ) and do what is done there. Drill holes, put two screws, small welds so they dont loosen up, put spring and problem is solved! Also one spring its enough, no need for two,
interesting @@dusanboss7749
Sympa comme avant.
The early 255 masseys came with the perkins 203 ci engine i had one they are pretty strong engines very good on fuel too my old boss called the IMT tractors. I AM TROUBLE but they not that bad
10-4 on the 255, the imt is ok, just does loader work around the farm now
The timing marke inside the pump is the letter E lined up with the straight edge on the retaining clip
Niec👍👍👍
yep
Niec 👍👍👍👍👍
yep
Lots of 165 and 1085 in our area in Southwestern Ontario lots of farms with two or more 165 Massey Ferguson's, we ran one for years great tractor then we ran a 265 also a very good tractor, and our neighbor had a open station 1085 like yours they ran that for years and years it certainly did a lot of work in his life
just got my 1085 put back together an runnin, i like it. the 165 has quite a back story both tractors i started runnin this year
Numero Uno in food chain Massey Ferguson. I have two.
nice
Time to pull the oil pan off
yea, hopefully soon
Yep you right about head gasket issues. Hopefully it’ll be right on this go around.
i didnt think 90 ftlbs was enough, same size stud and thread as the 6.354 turbo in the 1135 also has 90 ftlbs. never had ant issues with that motor
Nice job , I am liking your hay operation.
thanks, this is at the old farm alittle different setup at current location
That’s exactly how we did the bearings replacement in our jd 4320 . Very interesting , almost identical.
ok...sure is a lot of work to replace 1 bearing
I agree
Why did you go with this double ended cylinder, you showed that other massey that had a single cylinder on the back of the axle, both wheels joined with a Tie Rod on the front, just curious, looking for options, my steering box started puking, this evening while mowing. I Don't need the adjustable width front end, I'll set it wide and go.
i thought it would be easier insulation, the other tractor shown is on a 4 wheel drive tractor that has more mounting points for for the tierod and steering cylinders
@@farminwithfergusons Right on, thanks for the feedback
Do you remember what the two other lines were for on the power steering rack, the two that connect to the top round part of the steering rack?@@farminwithfergusons
they were hydraulic oil pressure in and out. my guess is the factor did this to cool the the gearbox. i looped these lines together@@pontiacmaniac2
@@farminwithfergusons Roger that, hoping to finish this prject today, I'll probably have to make another hose inorder to loop them together, I'll have to take a closer look at it.
Is there oil in the rack and pinion for lubrication
Because my 1080 has a slow drip but I didn't vent the top
yes, there is pressurized oil that circulates thru the bear box for lubrication
All MF tractors the AD 203 were in the MK 2 65 and first gen MF 165 1967 very good engines, Massey licensed a lot of tractors to eastern Europe and the middle east. that IMT is probably mid 70s Massey were using the AD 212 then.
Update please
no issues, workin good
gona miss ya old buddy
You need help with imt 560 or 533, 539, 540, 542, 588, 576, 577 dw, 578...and others...??? i have samo serice manuals
not yet, ill keep ya in mind
How has your steering system worked since?.... I'm thinking of doing something similar with mine
it doesnt leak oil, it steers, and nothing has broke. it is work great
Never knew they made them . Sounded very cold 🥶
the yellow head and the green on the chopper caught my eye. it was cold
Old stuff to fix old stuff. I totally understand.
should turn out as good as new
With new brakes you need to be careful because they want to get stucked. Reason are springs on metal plate that can be weak and won't return metal plates. There is solution to drill holes in the upper part and add stronger pair of strings
didnt think of that, workin good for now
You got it tore down that much wash the damn thing
thanks
Is the brakes a wet brake system I inherited one from my great uncle an its got brake issues an when I pulled the slave cylinder cover it was dry in there just curious the tractor has sat pretty much since he bought it an im trying to fix it up to use again
they are dry brakes
@@farminwithfergusons lovely so guess ill have to pull the axle housing off an see whats wrong cause I have the slave backed all the way off an its still grabbing a little
I think that guys name is Norman over at " I save tractors" I've been watchung his videos and he's a sharp fellow. I am in the process of scoring a Case 222 so I thought I'd stop by. Nice to see it running. Good job.
