Headlands Beach State Park Snowstorm Sunrise
I spent my Black Friday out at Headlands Beach State Park photographing the incoming winter storm. The morning stated out kinda calm but then the snow and wind just kept coming. Loved it!

Aurora Over Lake Erie-Painesville Township Park

Early October 2024, the aurora came back to visit us in Ohio, and we had a nice view from Painesville Township Park. The newly constructed coastal trail afforded multiple views of the pier as well as the Fairport Harbor lighthouse in the distance. Wonderful evening.

Holden Arboretum Autumn Sunrise at Corning Lake

I got out before dawn to Corning Lake at the Holden Arboretum and had some incredible light and fog over the lake. Combined with the fall colors, and the playfull geese, it made for a beautiful morning.

As many times as I've had the camera out at the lighthouse and Fairport Harbor, this is the first time I've seen this ship leave. I was frantically trying to set up a second camera for another timelapse with the wide angle and didn't get it. I love seeing this huge ship and I'll keep trying to capture it in the harbor.

I was one of the lucky ones who went out on that first night of the Aurora over Lake Erie here in Ohio. I chose Headlands Beach State Park due to the lower light pollution and proximity to my house. I set up to shoot the April 8th Eclipse at the David G. Leach Research Station in Madison, Ohio. I was running the Nikon Z8 with the 100-400 lens with a solar filter to capture the stages of the eclipse. Headlands Beach State Park Views April 2024 Always some great wildlife and landscape views out at Headlands Beach State Park. I was trying out some new equipment, and finally had some nice weather with some cool clouds for timelapse.
Lake Erie Incoming Storm Timelapse

I did a little park hopping along the lake to try and capture some of the cool storm clouds rolling in. I visited Mentor Beach Park, Lakefront Lodge Park, and Sims Beach at Kenneth J Sims Park. Timelapse sequences are taken with my Nikon Z6ii and Fuji XT-4, and they are edited in Lightroom and LRTimelapse.

Valentines Day 2024 in Fairport Harbor was sunny and calm. I was surprised to see how many seagulls were congregating on the jetty. I also stayed for sunset and captured a couple of timelapse sequences.
