It's been three years living as a freelancer and a model and not knowing what tomorrow will be made of, it can be tiring not having a stable job. And i tend to feel like you when i look at my friends having plans for the future around me.. I want to say you've been so courageous going through all the procedures and struggles it takes to settle in Paris and find a place to live. Also love your energy so much! I’d live in the banlieux if I could have a more comfy and larger space. I don’t need cutesy neighborhood but a safe one would be good. Buying is a great investment if you can find something in your price range. I bought a small townhome 3 hours by train from Paris which for now is perfect. I can visit Paris often without all the hassle of living there among all the tourists and pickpockets, etc. And I can rent it out as an Airbnb for some months during the times I’m not visiting. Plus it’s in a super cute writer’s town near Poitiers, a great small city for students and much less touristy except for Brits and other European tourists. Americans haven’t discovered the rest of France yet - they mostly cluster around Nice or Paris.

Paris apartment hunting is no joke. We were looking to buy and I was exhausted looking. Lucky we found a lovely place to buy. I hate the No MLS and yes, buyers have to be 4% agent fees plus the notaries fees. Yikes Omg sign without viewing it.

It’s completely individual based. It doesn’t work for you but I don’t think you actually did the challenge correctly. It’s not really a dumb phone if it has all these application. You can’t go on without using a smart phone because that’s your lifestyle. The phone doesn’t look like a grandmothers phone unless you own personal grandmas. It looks classy. It’s not a dumb phone unfortunately. Sorry

I am from a suburban area and trying to come closer to my workplace but it's sooooo difficult and takes lots of time and energy. Cannot afford more than 850 euros for rent so, the offers are very limited for what I need (at least 18m2). Yes, having a garant is needed ! Be careful though, leboncoin is famous for its scams. I hope the contract you signed is not a scam either ! Fingers crossed !🤞
