Been reading some reviews online claiming the hair isn’t 100% human hair, rather it’s mixed with synthetic hair.
It is mixed. I learned the hard way. A real human hair wig costs over 1k at minimum, for a 14 inch topper

I have watched so many videos, and I'm telling you I still cannot tell the difference between milkshake and butterbeer and shaded biscuit.... I maybe can see a one-second difference. They are so freaking similar, that there was almost no real point in making a third color 🤷🏼♀️🤔 I think they did it to confuse me even more and get me to buy a new wig😂❤
Can this wig be tamed a bit? Like on the sides? Looks great on you but I like low density wigs.

This looks amazing on you! How do you get this wig so straight? I own two peppermints and the ends curl up. I have tried using hair straighteners but it doesn’t work.
Honestly, Sophie, the only thing I ever do to my Peppermint wigs is use the Hot Tools brush on them. I do kind of curl the ends under with it but this is the way all of my wigs look.

I love your videos and your positive down to earth style. I’m thinking of getting Newport after seeing yours but have a petite head (esp ear to ear and nape) and no bio hair so even JR hand tied is quite big on me and I need to wear a cap and grip to feel secure. My colleagues at work mostly know I’m wearing a wig as I was open about it + I didn’t prepare in advance so had to wear a nice hat to work in December to cover my balding head. In a professional setting where I do public speaking, this was soo hard and I felt like I wanted to hide so it’s been freeing to just be open about it. From your accent it doesn’t sound like you live in MN, but if you did, you are the type of person I’d want to have a cup of coffee with and talk wigs!! I love the styles you’ve reviewed and I really research wigs before purchasing so would love to know some of your favorites! Thanks so much for your honest reviews- keep them coming!! I’ve only ordered one online wig but need one or two backups (new styles) so will check out tlwigs! ❤
First of all, thank you for the kind and encouraging words about my reviews, that means so much. As far as cap size goes, that can be a frustrating ordeal for sure. My local wig shop offers the service of adjusting caps to fit properly by sewing wefts together. There are also UA-cam videos showing you how to do this as well. This may be something to consider to help get a better fit. When it comes to my favorite wigs, I always lean towards low density. BelleTress has become one of my favorite brands because of this. I’m really impressed with their new City Collection and Newport is at the top of the list for me! My other BelleTress favorite is Peppermint, I own 5 in different colors. Also, you might want to consider the Ellen Wille brand. Their caps generally run a little smaller and they have lower density styles. United and Lucky Hi by Ellen Wille were my favorites when I first started wearing wigs. They are both regular synthetic which I found to be easier to take care of as a new wig wearer. I feel chalk in this area as well. In the past I’ve actually taken my wavy styles to my stylist to work on. This is something I need to learn how to do, just haven’t taken the time to yet.
