This man came to our dojo in the late eighties, I remember him rag dolling my sensei in sparring, extremely talented individual!

Uechi ryu is my favourite karate I want to learn in Okinawa, by the way I’ve been doing Jiu Jitsu for many years my advice is to be careful with your head position in double leg take down don’t get guillotine choke, nice video sensei thank you ❤️☺️🙏👍🇦🇺🇺🇸🇯🇵🥋 cheers from the knight family Melbourne Australia.

I went back to Kyokushin karate at 49 after a 20 year break. I am also competing in kumite tournaments and beating guys 15 years younger than me. You can do anything at any age if you’re healthy enough and your spirit is strong.

I recognized my sensei in sanshin kata front row, from Nancy Gavenda’s dojo, was there late 90s-2000 before moving. Miss it!

although its a kata from Uechi Ryu this version of Sanchin, your breathe is completly wrong, this is not goju ryu! its uechi Ryu!

Thank you for the videos sir. I've seen a few of yours. I had a few questions. Would you say a person who doesn't hand condition shouldn't do shoken strikes ? And should someone who has had hand injuries avoid them? As a uechi practitioner like with any art I'd imagine you tailor it as needed . As it's not a religion but a martial arts system open to interpretation by the individual practitioner as grandmaster Mattson has said in his videos. Thanks for your thoughts on this sir.
