Dewalt battery framing nailer issues fixed

Piston/ firing pin replacement on a Dewalt Battery framing nailer, model is DCN692 but this should be a similar process for the other models. If you are having issues with this gun, check for wear on the piston/springs.
Just fyi you didn't need to unscrew those torx screws to change the firing pin. You just remove those caps at the end of the spring pins, slip the springs off, slide the firing pin out, new one in the reassemble. You don't need any tools bar the Alan key that's on the gun itself.
Mine has an issue but this isn’t it. Occasionally acts like there’s some sort of short. When you push it against a surface to fire nothing happens. But this is on occasion. Most of the time this happens I’m holding the gun on an angle to toe nail something. But that varies too. Sometimes I can smack it against something and it will work other times not. Really strange but love to repair it considering how expensive these guns are. Anyone have a clue what the problem might be ?
If you take the two screws out and remove the back cover on the inside on the right there’s a white tab that presses a micro switch when the nose is pressed make sure that engages the motor and that the metal pin is forcing it back also check connections to the solenoid at the top and the plug connectors in the switch handle
