    All good! I wish you'd demonstrate how to cut lead came around a diamond. I have tried various approaches and am never satisfied with the geometry.

    Love your channel ❤️ What if the pattern I scanned from a book has the cut lines (lead heart lines) too fat? Some of the lines in the pattern ended up 1/4" wide, which is 4 times the actual width of 1/16". Your help is much appreciated!

    Love your videos and I am grateful for your help and advise. Do you know how to do this using rapid resizer? I am expanding into larger panels but do not use photoshop? Any help or recommended resources is apprecieated.

    • @KCGlassworks
      @KCGlassworks 16 днів тому

      Unfortunately rapid resizer is only good for splitting your design into 8.5x11 sheets for printing. No adjustments can be made on that program as far as a know now. It’s been awhile since i have used the program

    Hi ! Thank you for the video 🙌🏽 but I have few questions about it. And I hope that you would take a little time to answer my confusions. So I only have Procreate on my iPad. And I wonder if I can just using procreate to design pattern and sizing it. Then print it out on A4 sticker paper then hand cut the black lines ? I would like to buy cricut machine in future when I could. But now I need to keep it simple as it can. Let me know if it can work in this way too. Thank you very much. The beginning of the video so cute 🧡

    Hi Carlye--thank you for all the great info! Hopefully you have time for a dumb question. :) Is there a reason that you can't use ANY pattern to create a leaded panel if you don't care what the finished dimensions are going to be? I realize that a leaded panel made using a pattern with lines that don't account for the heart of the came will "grow", but if the came is being cut/fitted piece by piece, will the glass pieces cut from the pattern work as-is?

    • @KCGlassworks
      @KCGlassworks Місяць тому

      It’s possible that or would work just fine or it could cause some frustration but it doesn’t hurt to try!

  • @NobleNuggetStainedGlass

    Can you print this out on cricut just after making it on procreate without photoshop? I understand you do for lead size but would this work for foil without photoshop?

    • @KCGlassworks
      @KCGlassworks 2 місяці тому

      I mean you absolutely can. There’s just no saying you’re line width will be correct. At that point you’re just guessing by the way it looks.

    Also, is there a way to make a square, round, or oval frame without having to freehand draw it?

    • @KCGlassworks
      @KCGlassworks 4 місяці тому

      Unfortunately not that I am aware of yet! The best way to do this if you need perfect measurements without freehand drawing it would be to create the outline frame in photoshop and transfer that back to procreate to get your drawing done.

    I just want to tell you how much I have learned from your videos and how clear you make the instruction. I've watched videos that teach this process but you take it step by step and make it really easy. I have a Cricut Maker (thinking of upgrading to the Maker 3) and with your instructions had a successful cut the first time. This tutorial is exactly what I needed to take my patterns to the next level. I do wonder though, how do you deal with bevel clusters, jewels, and other pre-mades when designing your patterns?

    • @KCGlassworks
      @KCGlassworks 5 місяців тому

      I’m so glad you have found the videos helpful! The only way I would know how is to make the adjustments on photoshop. Maybe initially draw them in but the make the final measurements on photoshop. It definitely wouldn’t be the easiest task but can be done!

And that was a very helpful tutorial for me. Otherwise everything has been very trial and error on my own part. I love my Grinder! Has always worked great for me! Glad you are enjoying the videos and finding them helpful.
