I'm Carlye I am the artist/owner of Kingdom Creative Glassworks. I have a passion to create timeless and original glass art; and to encourage others to use their God-given gifts and abilities to pursue their purpose. I focus mainly on the lead came technique of stained glass. I hope this channel helps many other glass artists achieve their greatest artistic abilities by eliminating all the questions that I had as a beginner lead light artist. Enjoy!

How to Make Stained Glass Patterns using Cricut
This is so clever. Was having a hard time wrapping my brain around making bigger pieces. Thanks so much!
All good! I wish you'd demonstrate how to cut lead came around a diamond. I have tried various approaches and am never satisfied with the geometry.
Love your channel ❤️ What if the pattern I scanned from a book has the cut lines (lead heart lines) too fat? Some of the lines in the pattern ended up 1/4" wide, which is 4 times the actual width of 1/16". Your help is much appreciated!
What kind of fan did I you install? Where does it vent to?
Its a duct blower and it vents outside
You should have a lot more subscribers. This content is excellent.
Much appreciated
Thank you for this 🙏
Mine hardly scores unless I press really hard. Ive tried different heads, oil,no oil. Im doing something wrong, but I dont know what.
Try watching my full video on how to cut glass, it may help
TIP_TOP.
Love your videos and I am grateful for your help and advise. Do you know how to do this using rapid resizer? I am expanding into larger panels but do not use photoshop? Any help or recommended resources is apprecieated.
Unfortunately rapid resizer is only good for splitting your design into 8.5x11 sheets for printing. No adjustments can be made on that program as far as a know now. It’s been awhile since i have used the program
Would love to see how exactly you hold your knife to cut the hot wheels cut
It’s a pistol grip cutter so whatever feels most comfortable.
Just now seeing this awesome tutorial. Do you have a video tutorial of the photoshop finishing? Would like to know more about the photoshop part.

Great idea thank you! Can I ask where you got your grid you are cutting on? I can't find one anywhere.
Waffle grid! Should be able to find it on Amazon or any stained glass supply store
I love the hotwheels technique! Brilliant and thank you!
👏👏.. ¿y cuando tenemos ángulos agudos internos, cómo se cortan? Gracias.
I have a few videos showing internal cutting process
@ 😚😚😚 gracias!!
How do u patina your leaded glass window
With black cement a hard bristle brush and then with stove polish and a soft bristle brush
Can you reapply cement to leaded windows when they are in place? Im working on restoring a few and noticed the cement is falling out in some spots. 😢
Yes you can!
@KCGlassworks thank you so much for your reply!!! Would i just do each side as shown in the video? And im sure there are weather restrictions?
That is stunning. Love it
Thank you for your video!! It’s great!!
Hi ! Thank you for the video 🙌🏽 but I have few questions about it. And I hope that you would take a little time to answer my confusions. So I only have Procreate on my iPad. And I wonder if I can just using procreate to design pattern and sizing it. Then print it out on A4 sticker paper then hand cut the black lines ? I would like to buy cricut machine in future when I could. But now I need to keep it simple as it can. Let me know if it can work in this way too. Thank you very much. The beginning of the video so cute 🧡
Sounds like a good plan
What's the SECRET?
You can the video on my channel 😊
Hi Carlye--thank you for all the great info! Hopefully you have time for a dumb question. :) Is there a reason that you can't use ANY pattern to create a leaded panel if you don't care what the finished dimensions are going to be? I realize that a leaded panel made using a pattern with lines that don't account for the heart of the came will "grow", but if the came is being cut/fitted piece by piece, will the glass pieces cut from the pattern work as-is?
It’s possible that or would work just fine or it could cause some frustration but it doesn’t hurt to try!
Can you print this out on cricut just after making it on procreate without photoshop? I understand you do for lead size but would this work for foil without photoshop?
I mean you absolutely can. There’s just no saying you’re line width will be correct. At that point you’re just guessing by the way it looks.
I haven't even bought any tools yet to do stained glass, but I do have Photoshop and know it fairly well. Glad I found your channel!
Thank you so much for this, makes total sense to not press too hard and excellent tip for cutting curves. Thanks for sharing 😊
Nice and well made video. It's just absolutely horrible how the lady wastes water. She turns the faucet and lets the water flow completely unnecessarily without using it. Terrible. One day she might miss the water.
I turned the water on today for 4 hours straight just cause i can. Oops.
May I ask how much you charged the customer? It's a lot of work and curious if it can pay off. Thank you.
$80
What is the tool like pliers you’re using.
Running pliers and grozing pliers
@@KCGlassworks thank you 😊
А где вы учидись? Учебное заведение или частный курс? Вы так молоды, и такой большой опыт
Thank you! I am self taught! No schooling
Спасибо! Я сейчас учусь этшму делу, очень полезно узнать.
I am not able to turn down the opacity the way you show, mine is on s the side and does not change anything, what am I doing wrong? I have an ipad
The procreate app has updated since I created this video. A quick Google search will help you find where the opacity tool is now! Hope this helps
Also, is there a way to make a square, round, or oval frame without having to freehand draw it?
Unfortunately not that I am aware of yet! The best way to do this if you need perfect measurements without freehand drawing it would be to create the outline frame in photoshop and transfer that back to procreate to get your drawing done.
How do you add grid lines?
The procreate app has had an update since creating this video. A quick Google search on where to find the grid tool will give you the steps! Hope this helps!
I always work harder, not smarter.
Thats freakin sick 🤯
I have a lamp need to repair
Get to it!!
I need the phone number
Thank you super useful
Thank you for these great cutting tips! I also have been applying wayyyyy too much pressure on my cuts, I can't wait to try these new techniques on the project I'm currently working on.
So glad you found it helpful!
What a great video! Thank you!
Thank you for generously sharing all you do. Would you please be able to share tools in your workshop please ? Thank you very much
Thank you, very informative and helpful
What are the instruments called I would like to get some
Toyo class cutter, running pliers, grozing pliers
@@KCGlassworks thank you
I love it
I just want to tell you how much I have learned from your videos and how clear you make the instruction. I've watched videos that teach this process but you take it step by step and make it really easy. I have a Cricut Maker (thinking of upgrading to the Maker 3) and with your instructions had a successful cut the first time. This tutorial is exactly what I needed to take my patterns to the next level. I do wonder though, how do you deal with bevel clusters, jewels, and other pre-mades when designing your patterns?
I’m so glad you have found the videos helpful! The only way I would know how is to make the adjustments on photoshop. Maybe initially draw them in but the make the final measurements on photoshop. It definitely wouldn’t be the easiest task but can be done!
Excellent video. I find there aren't many who use lead came and few people who paint on glass and fire it.
Hope you and your family are well. Congrats on the (almost) new baby! How did you learn all this? Wife and I are new gathering tools ang glass. You are amazing. Really cool how your repaired that lamp. I hope The Grinder is worth it. I think we are going to order it. Have a good one!
Thank you so much! Baby is very well! I am completely self taught! Lots of research on youtube and different websites, I also purchased the DVD called Lead it Out? I think? And that was a very helpful tutorial for me. Otherwise everything has been very trial and error on my own part. I love my Grinder! Has always worked great for me! Glad you are enjoying the videos and finding them helpful.
I'm giggling at the quick little snippet sounds of your shears! 😆
this is a super awesome video. great job. Im new and this is very helpful.
Thank you! So glad you’re enjoying them!
I'm so glad I found your video, it's helped me a lot. I was definitely pushing too hard!! Thank you so much!
So glad you found it helpful!!
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for this video. I was a push and shove cutter, but not anymore. I am getting closer and better cuts using the press and glide technique. Also, I am not wasting glass. Again, thanks so much for sharing. You rock!
Absolutely so glad you have found it helpful!
