In a small manufactory in the heart of Vienna, SUPERSENSE creates strictly limited editions of iconic recordings in cooperation with Universal Music Group.
This short video shows the process how the music is transferred from copies of the original master tapes to Japanese lacquers, which are usually destroyed in the standard process of vinyl production.
Now these lacquer discs can end up on your turntable providing a deeper, warmer and more authentic listening experience than ever before.

SUPERSENSE Cigar Box Guitar Session - 10.09.2015
What if Doc restart the spectra and captiva (500 film)? Hmmmmm❤
Thank you so much for making this !!!!
WHAT A SHAME THEY NEVER REALLY WERE ABLE TO MASS PRODUCE THIS AGAIN, A PITY REALLY
I had an idea some time ago. What if a reloadable cartridge could be made? How would that affect the cost? Positively, I would hope.
If only it succeeded.
a good DAC sounds better
Objectively Limited & Personally Subjective
Packfilm?
ONE exposure per pack? 😭
Are you making these pack films today?
I checked their website, and it looks like they might have a few of the DIY One Instant kits left. The others are sold out.
Are you still producting these films?
Great Video… Greetings From The German Vinyl Community… 👋🏻
Great! Keep up the good work! cheers from Athens/Greece :)
LOL. Lacquers... Nice for a few listens over a few years before they begin to disintegrate. What a joke. I'll just get a reel-to-reel tape from AP, thank you. Lasts a lifetime and sounds, well, as close to a master as you can get.
Urrr . . . Ah . . . Yeah, I can dig it. However ; be, severely limited, from so much more, analog, title choices.
But how much is one record? I used to buy them for less than $10. When i see them at $55, I just say no way. I’m not rich but I do know good sound.
Her singing was amazing.
Doesn't the tape wear out on every play?
Yes correct
Technically, yes. But which do you think will last longer and preserve consistency over time- a reel tape or a lacquer?
Great. But a Reel-to-Reel Copy would be even better. And the worn-out by playing is a lot less . . .
Reels wear out faster than this will. These Mastercut records have been tested for 100 plays with no discernible wear. A reel will audibly degrade after 50 plays. Most people “forget” the fact that reels were never intended for frequent plays.
Magnificent.
You don't make it anymore? :(
such a waste of money, so far i ruined one whole box and every thing smells super bad
smells SO bad
Wait 1 pack onlycan be used to take a single picture and it's about 16euros for that 1 pack? jesus christ
I'm hoping this will work for polariod image transfers? with my old daylab printer. It's been 20 years and I'm just finding out that polariod and fuji no longer make pull apart film!
Gratuliere, daß ihr das geschafft habt !!! & !
Would love to be able to do this but in light of the new b&w material it seems the pods are still producing uneven results so i have a slight idea that may help for the future pods So in 667, 107, 105, 665, and other various pods it appears that the pods had a small center separator to keep it from only spreading on one side of the film and i believe if you add a small peice of thin wax paper it will allow the pod to spread more evenly and allow for less chemical waste on the rollers
I have a polaroid 60
Hahah great video. Thanks for keeping the funny bits in.
11 $ for one shot !
yup... costs money, time and effort to make. That being said, the current Fujifilm stock is selling for $120 minimum per cartridge. That's $12 a shot (and that's for the oldest available which chemicals may be compromised).
is it possible to recover a negative from this film eg the part you throw away?
it says on their website that the negatives are not recoverable (unfortunately)
Came back to watch this video today before I shot my 1st pack in my Land Camera 230. It came out great! I officially love this film!!
Huh I have similar camera to him. Land Camera 340. All the sample photos on the site look garbage and too "lomography"ish. I wonder if I get better results only loading the camera in the dark or changing bag like I would with large format film holders.
Cudos for making this film, and by hand!. Great cameras in their day. :)
Cool product indeed. What a challenge they have done! I do want to support by buying this!
These are in museums, but even better to see still in use! 👏
Have you guys done emulsion lifts with this stuff?
Hi - we did a transfer to paper. Best you contact Chris for technical details.
Hi! how do you get the batteries for your 360? did you buy an adapter? Could you please tell me where? Did you recomended? Thanks and sorry for so many questions!! :-)
I still have some really cool Packfilm Cameras This Video gives me hope !
And gals
Bless you guys I thought my projects were over
Can we still bleach the negative?
My man. You are amazing in this video ... thanks EVERYONE (you, too, Doc) for this magic. Haven't cracked my box yet, but soooon.
I have a POLAROID 320 PACKFILM LAND CAMERA. Any film suggestions?
This stuff. And any Fuji or Polaroid you can find on eBay. I'm still shooting decade old Polaroid ...
@@TodBrilliant How does the decade old come out? I'm thinking bout get some of the few years old stock from before fuji stopped in 2016. Cuz this One Instant looks like trash and makes too much mess in camera.
One picture
One thousand words
Will this film also work on the vivitar 35mm slide printer???
The key is to check if the Vivitar Slide Printer accepts TYPE 100 or TYPE 80 film. ONE INSTANT is a TYPE 100 film, and honestly there were far fewer cameras/apparatuses built for TYPE 80 (which was a square format peel-apart) than TYPE 100. So without really looking into it, I'd guess that the Vivitar Slide Printer takes ONE INSTANT. But I encourage everyone to do such research for themselves! If you teach someone to fish, they eat for a lifetime... ;-D Thanks for your question/comment {We're copying the classic 3.25x4.25" format, which is what Fuji FP-100C and FP-3000B were. Our product fits anything that they do.}
can this go through the vivitar instant slide printer

Where can I buy it??
Great video, really helpful for someone who hasn't used one of these cameras before. I've taken two photos now and both turned out really well after watching this video. Thanks!
Excellent video! Informative and amusing. So excited to load up my old converted Polaroid Pathfinder Land Camera with this fresh new stuff! Thanks so much.
One Instant seems like the biggest bullshit on earth. the only good thing is that these guys are experimenting with the chemicals and IF the real Packfilm comes back anytime soon they will at least have good film to start with.
Maybe if you knew this history behind this team, the very people who 'saved Polar---' and created the film that the fake Polaroid company is selling today ... you'd have a different view of the insane (obsessive) dedication to preserving these films while working around "lost" technologies, patents, etc. Look, the ghost of Edwin Land actually spends time hanging with Team Supersense, adores One Instant, and wouldn't set foot in the Polar--- company headquarters. That's all you need to know. :) The biggest bullshit on Earth? That's my country's political system and consumptive corporate capitalism.
