Well, here is our hydroponic system we are using this year. Unfortunately, it appears to be currently unavailable, but other systems are unavailable. Thanks for watching.

Greenworks 60 volt Zero turn
Переглядів 2,3 тис.Рік тому
Here is my review on the Greenworks 60 volt rechargeable zero turn. While it will not be able to replace our main zero turn on the homestead, it is surprising a well made mower. Full disclaimer. I am not sponsored by Greenworks and I paid full price for this mower. Hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for watching.
Possible better way to propagate Rosemary, or atleast a lazy way.

It rained a little bit today.

The rain flooded the the roads around the homestead and I am trying to get home. Do not drive in a flooded road unless you know what you are doing and how deep the water is. Don't try this at home, I am what you may call a professional couyon. As always. Thanks for watching.
You take a 39 day break from the homestead and everything just goes down hill.

Thanks a lot! I have been struggling with gas caps. Heading out to the garage now.
What do you put in the bag?
Anything. I think I got other bags in there.
Will you do a video on how to put the mulch cover on? Thanks!
Unfortunately I don't use the mulch cover, it probably was gotten rid of during cleaning out the clutter in the shop.
Thanks for showing the zip tie method, pretty cool! Can't wait to try it!
It adds iron
But is it an organic nail?
You don't understand what organic means?
thank you for making this video 💜💜💜
Mud Dauber…not Diver. Sorry, it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
You probably say crayfish instead of crawfish, also. They are also called dirt dauber, dirt digger, or mud wasp, depending where you are from.
@@southlouisianahomestead244I have heard them called dirt daubers, mud daubers, mud wasps, dirt wasps, organ- pipe wasps and potters wasps. But I have never heard dirt diver or mud diver or dirt digger. I've been all over the country.
We call it mud divers, woss (we ain't got time for annunciation down here) we too busy partying, working and making friends and we laugh our asses off at the uptight ayeholes who pitch a fit every time we talk.
Curious if are still using the 5% vinegar vs higher concentrations? There are several video’s using 20-30% concentrations and wondering if anything has changed for your formula. How long in between reapplications? Have a lake cabin and would like something to help with weed control and not get into the lake water or ground water etc.. Thanks for any reply.
When I was using it, I only apply it a few times a year. With the new homestead, we don't need it as much.
I'll be doing this same thing tomorrow. Thanks!
What distance radius will be the best?
Sucks that the cucumbers didn't work out bro. But those are some nice setups. That would do amazing with basil and such in the fall! Gro Dat!!
Nice job, I know you will get the issues figured out, we all experimenting. Great video.
Thanks for sharing your project!
What is your height and weight?
I am a little over average height and was weighing over 280 at the time.
Around these parts those 8ah batteries are expensive, but they are a long term investment. I always buy extra batteries so I can swap them if I need them. They aren't as cheap as you mentioned in this video, but if you go into this with the plan to add more batteries as you can and you will have extra power when you need it. I like the batteries are interchangeable with the other Greenworks tools so I consider it an advantage to take them out and swap them. Plus my barn isn't heated in the winter so being able to bring the batteries in where it is warm to take care of them is a bonus. Thanks for sharing, this looks like a very capable mower. Dare I say better than my gas mowers in several ways.
Might I suggest buying the batteries online, because they are the same price I mentioned on the Greenworks web sight and Amazon.
@@southlouisianahomestead244 Thanks, I looked online and see there is a sale going on right now for those 8ah batteries direct with Greenworks. They are still spendy even on sale, but cheaper than ordering with Tractor Supply. As long as the batteries last for a good long while I am fine with just adding some batteries one at a time over time so I have spares. You are right about the fact it is too quiet. When you get off it is easy to forget the mower is on. I can see walking away and leaving it on. That could be a problem. Hopefully I will remember and be taking the batteries out anyway to charge them.
It's a lighter color Vinegar is a safe bleach
If it kills weeds it will also kill plants
Well, I wasn't trying to grow plants in my driveway. The goal is not to add toxins to the area.
😂 what a comment
Go the farmers
Hi, and thank you for the update. Question: What did you hang the bags up with so that they stayed up there so well? T.y.
I used a piece of what is called bank line on the back porch and chain in the carport. I also used the string from a feed bag in the barn. It doesn't seem to matter. Use what you have available.
I stuff plastic bags inside the paperbags and I got rid of my carpenter bees last year in my back house. It took a few days but they and the red wasps by my housepipes.
Ain't that the truth! 🌲🦌🌲
I agree with your assessment here - it was definitely a 2 legged predator. Wise advice. Sorry it happened to y'all.
Great looking beginnings to an orchard that will feed the future generations! 🌲🦌🌲
Pretty slick idea using the door timer. I can see how the holes would keep it more efficient as well. Thanks for sharing your idea! 🌲🦌🌲
Thank you for watching
Very interesting and appear to be quite functional. I would agree girls gotta get used to the new boxes. Found you from Cajun Hydroponics, glad to be along for the journey. 🌲🦌🌲
That is so cool! Text me the link! Take care! Gro Dat!!
I sent you the link. I will be doing a full review later after the girls start using it more.
@@southlouisianahomestead244 great thanks! We just picked up 24 more peeps....
Great idea! You have the link to that
Nice job.
How did you get the screws off 🤦🏾♀️ didn’t show anything cause my screws can’t come off like I need certain type wrench nothing is fitting
I had used a standard nut driver to undo the nuts, but a wrench could also been used.
I hope that by the time I can afford a Greenworks zero turn, they’ll have a 52-inch model that plugs into the wall (still with removable batteries) like EGO has.
That is cool that it has the hitch on the front. Thats a nice quiet area you live! We almost got one but ended up with a regular riding mower for the farm. But have some ideas for the old zeroturn that has been in the field the last 10 years. Great review! Gro Dat!!
Thanks for the video I have looked at buying a Greenworks myself.
Awesome video! You earned a subscriber. This is pretty ingenious for gas caps in general. I've been everywhere on youtube and looking for ways to replace a weedwacker gas cap gaskets with other recycled material. You may have discovered it. I wonder if you could use it as a weedwacker cork gasket replacement. Can't see why not? I think the hdpe plastic in big jug fabric softeners and detergents seem to be the type. I'm hoping you'll make a video if it works. Thank you and take care.
Cool Propagation, Yes The Daily Rain, I love it, My Garden loves it More, Happy Saturday 💜👍🏾
Raining no way! Grass sucks I was able to cut a little this morning. Very cool about the rosemary! Gro Dat!
One of the best lessons you've taught me.
This was so easy to make! Thanks for sharing!
Blessings to all
Wow
Man that thing works great👍👍 I just subbed too.
I've used this recipe several times. It works. Just used household white vinegar.
Carpenter bees normally don't sting,. Males have no stinger and females rarely come out but wasps and bumble bees scare the hell outa me! Going to try these.....
Nice way to beet the system lol you 0 turn guys know how to make some nice mods
I bought a decoy nest from Amazon and a day after putting it up, a wasp was buzzing around. That was the last time I saw any and the spot where he was flying around had the start of a nest, which looks abandoned. I'm keeping an eye on it but so far so good.
Any updates ? And link to nest
I made my own nest by using an Amazon pouch inside out and filled it with bubble wrap.
I need an update!!
"Even failed experiments give you data." Very true. Thanks for this.
Do you recommend sprouting seeds in like a cupcake container or cake container to use as a greenhouse? I am growing basil, starting tomatoes, and cucumbers.
I never grew plants in cupcake containers. I would be worried there is not enough room for a healthy root ball. Maybe my friend Danny on the Cajun Hydroponics channel could answer it better.
We had this every year until the two back to back Hurricanes. The trees are gone. Another thing to love about the Country Life.
Nice looking trees. You put some work into your Orchard. Nice job. Hurricane Rita took out a 40 year old Mulberry tree with 36” base , here on the old Homestead they can get big. My Aunt had a Mulberry tree we zip line out of.
Great Looking Fruit Trees 💜👍🏾
Now you know how Brad Pitt feels.
Wow That was Crazy, But Keep Pushing, Thanks for Sharing Have a Beautiful Evening 💜👍🏾
