The black piece between the fog lights I made from 1/8" thick plexi-glass and added 4 5mm red LED lights. The lights are linked to a motion sensor (see below, it's hard to see). The hood vents are Mustang hood vents, which I installed myself. The two lights on the hood are made from Toyota windshield washer nozzles, which I drilled out and installed 5 mm red LED lights and faced them towards th...

Anyone have any inpuy on how the emblem went back on? I havd the same grill and it does not snap back in
I mean, I am doing good but not as great as y ou are. How can ubafford all that?
Does the tint on the headlights 'dim' your lights any? Thanks! Nice truck, absolutely love this!
Thank you. I didn't really notice the lights being a lot dimmer. But the wrap shops will tell you it does dim the lights.
Can you share the link for the grill??? Also, did you buy smoked out headlights? Thanks
I can't remember where I got it. Search Ebay. The headlights were tinted with a wrap.
Thanks....it doesn't seem as if Ebay has that exact grill any longer....I'll keep looking, it's difficult to find a Denali looking grill for a SLT Yukon....

Here it is on Ebay. Funny, the seller used a photo of my Denali without my permission to sell the grille. The grille I had at the time was the OEM which I plasti-coated. So it wasn't even the same grille in which they were selling. www.ebay.com/itm/283380032263?chn=ps @@kimwil2
Hey how easy did the gmc emblem go in? Im having trouble putting it in all the way.
I can't recall exactly, but you might want to use some adhesive.
Same here! I bought this exact grill and I cannot get the emblem to click back in.
Watched several of these but nobody shows releasing the last 2 clips behind the grille, I see them come apart but not how they did it.

That is the best mobile desk I have seen
Hello
Nice headlights. What are you, 18?
DAMB!!!!!!
Those headlight tint needs to go! besides that nice
Hey Troy, I know this video is over 3 years old but I hope you still reply bro. Are your headlights smoked or tinted over? If they’re tinted how well are they holding up? Also, how did you black out the fog light trim?
I'm wondering the same thing!!!
I'm wondering the same thing!!!
sick
Is your headlight tint Light Smoke? Mid..?
Looks good, how do you power the monitor and laptop efficiently ?
A 400 watt inverter works for most uses. Laptop, scanner, printer (ink jet, not laser), monitor, phone charger, etc.
What's the link to those red small lights on the front license plate and hood?
I made both myself. For the hood I used windshield wiper nozzles. Drilled out center and faced outward. I used 5mm red led lights for the lights in the hood and bumper. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RVNJHBN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/EDGELEC-LED-Lights-Emitting-Diodes/dp/B07T8H5D64/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=5mm%2Bred%2Bled&qid=1639331241&sr=8-8&th=1
Hey Troy, I know this is 2 years old. But where did you get the black light housing for your fog lights. I’ve been looking all over the net
I'm looking for the same online. can't find them like that. Not sure if they were purchased like that or if he modified/wrapped them...
Your Yukon looks amazing! Great work. What kind of running board did you use? Looks great.
It looks mean.
If you can push those 2 tabs down to release the grill do you need to remove the bumper? Guess I'm wondering why the bumper needs to come off if the tabs hold it on.
Why is the video only 14 seconds
Thanks for video. Mission accomplished today!
Where did you get that grill?
Outstanding set up!! Intuitive design!
How did you get your fog light chrome trims blacked out?
Where did you get the black grill from??
Where did you get that desk
Where can I buy this???
What kind of vehicle do you have?
I have a Ford F-250 truck I need a Mobil desk and I like the one you showed
Where can I buy one similar ?
@@gloriadubon1261 What Year is your F-250?. I make the desks. mobiledeskconcepts.com/
where did you get the hood?
It's stock, with a matte black wrap, I bought some Mustang hood vents and dropped them in myself. www.lethalperformance.com/bmc-2013-2014-mustang-gt-oem-style-hood-vents.html
Love your truck were did you get head lights cover from
I had a car wrap place wrap them.
Ok thank you it looks damm good 👍
How much tint on headlights?
Do you have a leveling kit on your Yukon
Love the all black... I'm in the process of turning my Denali into all black. TY.
Yes. I painted it with black plastic dip. But I later bought one in gloss black for cheap. Shop around and you'll find good prices.
@@troypritchard4368 Appreciate you reply back. Thanks for the heads up. I see this black grille in Amazon, but not sure if it's good paint or not. You still have this Denali?
God'sNotDead 00 Yes. I still have the Denali. In the shop now problems with the supercharger caused serious upper engine problems. Don’t worry about the paint quality. Pretty much any grill you’ll get will be gloss black and is good quality.
@@troypritchard4368 Sorry to hear about the problem with the super charger. Hopefully, your get it fixed soon. Yeah... getting a Corsa exhaust and gloss black grille.
what did you do to the headlight to make them have that smoked look
I had a wrap company install a tint.
I was waiting for you to wake that beast up
I just helped my buddy install a new grill and the same bossing bolt on the bottom passenger side was missing on his truck too!!! Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Same here
Waisted time , don’t look
Very nice! Looks like incredible quality. Is the extending section attached to the seat or frame on the passenger side?
There is one hole 3/16" drilled into the B Pillar. That's all that is needed.
Stupid Bird!
Oh man I just ran out of light/sun doing this. I'm almost done but for the life of me can't get the plastic clips to come to release the grille... I'm pushing down HARD on the center piece of it, any suggestions? Wth I can't get those things to budge, I'm on the verge of taking it somewhere to let time finish if it won't move when I try again to grow morning. Feels like I'm gonna break it if I push any harder. And wow the 3 bolts to access near the headlights/that you have to access through the wheel well are such a pain in the butt I had to use vice grips doing a quarter turn for 2 of 3 of them. The passenger side wheel side is the worst I'm right handed and had to use my left hand lol... Not fun.
Actually... I think I know why I can't get the clips to release, I think I took off the fog light screws (which of course there's 3 of them) instead of the 3 screws on the very side that hold the bumper to the bracket/brace that's right there in front of the tires. Well that's mixed news, those 3 screws were a PAIN IN THE A$$ to get off hopefully they go back on easier lol. Ohh boy. Well back at it in the am hopefully those 3 correct bumper screws to take off come off easier than those fog light ones. Doink.
Sorry to hear of the complications. I believe I mentioned later that the 3 bolts to access through the wheel well are not necessary to remove. Just give a good pull outward on the bumper away from the fender. (My post about a year ago: Correction. The three 7 mm bolts on both sides of the fender may not need to be removed. I later learned that you may be able to just pull the bumper forward, but you will still need to back out the 7 mm bolts on the wheel well that attach to the bumper.)
For the grill tabs I wonder if you need to pull up vs pushing down. Try that. Sorry.
@@troypritchard4368 idk what's needed but I ended up just breaking the shit out of the tabs on my old grille, I pushed them down I pushed them up from beneath, nothing worked. Finally they just basically shattered and came out lol. Luckily the new grille had its own so its all installed now. I couldn't even get the tabs on the new grille to snap in, but it's on there very good plenty of bolts holding that thing in place. And yah, I wish I would've caught that about the bolts in the wheel well because those were BY FAR the biggest pain in the ass for the entire project and took up probably half the time I spent on it. All good - new grill looks awesome, I went same as yours but chrome as I'm not blacking everything out. Mine has the new stock Denali 22" Inch rims I put on it as well, so it looks like a stock 2020 Denali now (its an SLT). Which is the look I am going for. I basically have a Denali look for $10K less.
@@troypritchard4368 Thx for the quick reply btw
It's amazing how LITTLE of amount of these grille replacement videos exist for this body style Yukon... Like Holy crap. I think you're the only one I can find so I hope you're right! Lol.
CornPopWasABadDude this vid pretty straight forward I took mine off in about 20 min
@@GEDset58 yeah... It was good but the part where he says you need to take off 3 screws under the wheel well I think he even admitted wasn't necessary, unless that was another video I found, and that was by far the most time consuming portion for me. If it wasnt for those extremely hard to get to screws, I would've had mine done very quickly. That part held me up big time as I didn't have the exact wrench to use and I was literally twisting each one like a quarter turn at a time. Either way this video was extremely helpful I don't even think I could've got it done without it. New grill looks badass too. What a difference.
Assuming you have upgraded to a gloss black one based on your comments. I notice the aftermarket black unit is flimsy. Was I supposed to transfer the backing off the OEM to the new black one? Your truck looks awesome BTW.
Where you able to reuse the gmc emblem from the original grill?
C. This is the original grill painted satin black. But I now have a gloss black grill and you can use the factory emblem on aftermarket grills.
Troy Pritchard ok cool because I grabbed the gloss black grill as well. I believe the factory emblem can just pop right out using the inside tabs.
You’ll probably need to glue the emblem on the grill. If I remember correctly the tabs do not catch.
Yo, can we get some more footage? I got a 2016 Denali, forest green metallic... but yours is a beast!! Sweet Ride!!!
James. It took w while but here's another vidoe. ua-cam.com/video/CRe5HY0xKy8/v-deo.html
Is that a different style hood? I noticed the hood louvers in the beginning.
Factory hood with matte black wrap and Mustang hood vents. Drilled two hole and installed windshield washer nozzles. Removed spray portion of the nozzle and install 3 mm LED red lights in place.
Took a min to pop the hood. Had to move on.
WHERE DID YOU GET THIS GRILL!!! can you post Amazon referral links please!
damn this shit looks sick AF...
😂
What headlight tint is that?
What exhaust do you have on this and where did you get the "Denali" tail gate cover? Also, how'd you do the hood (with the scoops and matte black)? Love the look of this beast.
Do you have to remove the bumper to remove the grill?
Joseph Arborea I’m thinking you don’t need to remove the whole bumper to swap the grill... seems like the 4 bolts and the 2 push down tabs
Yes. You need to remove the bumper, unlike the previous generations of Yukons.
Yeah I had to remove the whole thing to gain access to the screws holding the grill to the bumper.
@@troypritchard4368 ok I removed all the screws you said to do but the bumper is not moving
@@americano8092 I posted below: Correction. The three 7 mm bolts on both sides of the fender may not need to be removed. I later learned that you may be able to just pull the bumper forward, but you will still need to back out the 7 mm bolts on the wheel well that attach to the bumper.
