I am capable of working at the moment, however I do have Bipolar Disorder and when the depression, anger and anxiety kicks in I can't function properly which leads to problems with employment. E.g. Bursting into tears or having rage fits over the slightest thing, anxiety about leaving home to go to work and constantly being late for work because I can't get up on time. I used to get DLA but that was stopped because I was working. Applied for PIP but got zero points. Asked for mandatory consideration and still it was zero points. I switched jobs and the new employer was aware of the situation and still hired me but now has put me on an improvement plan due to me being late to work. Frankly it's depressing as now it feels like my job is at risk. They know the medication knocks me out and they did adjust my shift patterns to try to help but I still end up late for work due to both anxiety and the public transport system being up the creak. The employers solution was to, "Well just leave home earlier so you can be on time." My commute to work is about 2 hours already! I'm getting really vexed with working for companies directly because at the end of the day they have a business to run and need reliable employees. However, my bipolar is not very predictable or reliable either. Sorry for the rant but I'm concerned if I apply for PIP again that I will have to go through the same mental torture and financial hardship as the last time I applied and get 0 points again. It was the same with applying for Universal Credit as they cancelled my claim after 3 months stating I was earning too much. My take home pay was on average £650 per month and my rent was £560 per month and yet they said I was earning too much. Thanks to the DWP I got into huge arrears with my rent. Yet there are people out there who have been able to claim both PIP and get all their rent paid for them and smoke weed for recreation (not medicinal). It's incredibly annoying.

You don't request your medical records if applying for PIP. I have recently applied for PIP and awaiting the decision over the next few weeks. If they need to see them they can request it from your Doctor as that's how the process works.

Hope your doing well. I am in the process of pip assessment and has been working for the past 15 years and started having severe anxiety and depression after a bereavement a couple of years ago and had several long term sickness ...the doctors have provided me a record of all the sicknotes,meds,CBT etc. I have personally had to suffer for a couple of years because of the stigma of asking for financial help for this disability even after getting into 10s of thousands of pounds of dept from not being able to work and not get paid,reducing hours of work etc

Emma I am having a horrendous time and mostly all caused by this awful benefits system. I have never been so mentally or physically unwell as I am since being moved from ESA onto universal credit. I now have terrible mental and physical health problems I mean absoulutly horrific. Omg I’ve found your channel and I’m in awe. we are so similar health wise which could be a blessing and a curse but you are discounting everything I’m feeling!!! I’m currently typing up a sheet as we speak of why I think I have HEDS. Going to doc on Friday. We originally thought pots but I think it’s higher on scale! I’d love to chat with you properly about it all :)

thanks so much for your video! haha I did something else with my foot. I can't feel anything in most of my feet and hands, once I walked on a nail and I didn't feel anything, until someone said there is a pool of blood coming out from under your foot! So glad you have a diagnosis, it's a relief isn't it? I got my EDS and POTs diagnosis about 8 years ago after a life of fainting, falls and injuries, endometriosis, depression anxiety, stomach, skin and joint issues. I am really suffer with pots these days im on propranolol but still doesn't help its hard isn it? :( where did you get your genetic testing done? I have the Eds hyper mobile type but my dad died of heart attack age 41 and had similar issues so I would like to make sure I don't have the heart one, as I have a lot heart issues and have had ECGs etc. Thanks :) I hope you are ok!

It's good to hear you where successful its a complete nightmare.

You have to pay for your medical records if not they just give you a brief 1 sheet with some medical history on it. They do ring your doctor so make sure you see your doctor regularly and get everything on your form in record with your specific doctor who actually knows you, so when they ring your doctor can confirm everything they ask. I Agee with this assessment makes it worse Goodluck be strong. I was asked dog question said had no pets. should said more but my enxeity was playing up. they kept asking me the question in a similar way, but I kept on saying stuff what referred to her earlier and gave examples if my illness effects those questions she asked it was hard I told her I could hv told u more but I answered what you asked me to back myself up as I wanted to tell her more but my neurologist was mentioned so that probably answered that for me not sure. The lady was nice but she has to what the government tells her, she was very plight send calming and was patient with throughout the assessment she said at the end I did really well and that I should be proud of myself send said Goodluck. but when put the receiver down I was in so much distress I can't tell you I was in pain with my hands very sad I felt I spoke this person told her things that were personal to a stranger, I really think pip should change a form is enough and supporting evidence. I get u unlimited capability but no money, since pip involves money it becomes hard just because of the money dwp gave me 15 points on that unlimited capability assessment so I sent that with my form to prove that so I can go against it my pip was to be re applied which I hope not as found it very difficult. I was also asked if I came to office how would I feel I said ,I would be traumatized . because I remember telling them on the form I was traumatized the last time I came and became a questions. I didn't get copy if my form, so I hardly remember some if the things I written so I told her I'm slow to remember. I don't think she typed everything, as I asked her at the end she said she did so that's another good thing to note. but she was so nice yo me didn't make me feel worthless. but im so worried now all sorts is going into my mind if I answered right or not your videos have been very helpful and similar to my assessment. If you pay£ 980 to solicitors he make fake medical paperwork then DWP rewards you but genuine client application are refused

Dwp is not professional my share house neighbour are with big mussels healthy body and mine they have gym in side room every night drinks expensive alcohol and smoking cannabis wearing smart dress Adidas Nike nice trainer tracksuit all the time order take away but I’m genuine climate my application is five times refused because I can’t afford to pay £980 to private solicitor to make fake medical 🏥 paperwork I don’t do that

I applied for PIP and suffer with anxiety and depression. First application I got zero points. I appealed and got it. Please appeal if you need to because I did hear from a reliable source that many people fail first time round. I worked and still got it. Good luck x

Hi Emma, did you recieve your letter and see that you had some points on daily living or was it 0? I've currently had to put in a MR like you I was awarded 0 points. Sent a ton of evidence, and fear I will get the same outcome as you of just mobility. I just wanted to tell you there's a place called welfare rights, if you have to take it to tribunal and I think they will take over your case and help you win it. It would mean elss stress for you as I worry it will impact your mental health more. Good luck, I've subscribed to hear any more updates. I hear my MR decision in 2 weeks

Hi Emma iam in the same thing as you are going through I applied in first day in June 2021 its my first time applying to pip

I used to receive personal independence payments and unexplained they stopped my payments. Right before Christmas and my birthday. So I think the reason why personal independence payments stop was because I recently had a medical assessment done to see how I was going and there asked me questions and asked from scale 1-10 how I felt about my everyday basic things I needed to do. I will upload the paper work so you can see. So in the assessment I was asked about my ability to cook and clean. I mentioned food in the process only because I recently got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. So I have to watch my diet. I forgot to mention to the woman doing the assessment. The reason why I mentioned food was because I recently got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so there fire it required healthy food for me. On the 19 Th of November I recently had a phone call from DWP in regards of personal independence payment and I just came from being hospitalised from the dangers of diabetes. I have uncontrolled diabetes due to my stress and confusion. I have been told by my Gp it’s impossible for me to work because of my diabetes. My risks are comma or losing a leg.

It's been 6 months since I've applied, 3 months since I got a form to fill out and I have heard nothing since. I would really appreciate it if they reassured just by messaging saying its still being looked at. I have autism and I come from a low income family so I can't really afford to get things to help calm me, or private transport to college and I can't balance a job and an education. I don't know what to, I feel trapped in my own home.

I’ve been put on antidepressants for years now and just realised that hormonal imbalance/adrenal issues can cause and also worsen pre existing anxiety. If your cortisol is too high that means your other hormones (which effect sleep, mood etc) are deficient as well as vitamins. Unfortunately, the NHS don’t do much about correcting hormones, you’ll need to go to a private clinic, the top 2 I’ve found are called The Harpal Clinic or London clinic of nutrition, there pricey but they will correct a lot of things, the antidepressants are just masking these ever worsening issues.

Hi, how did you get on with appeal?

I am waiting on a health assessment which I have been told could take 6 months to a year to get an appointment. My primary issues are neck and lower back pain. I am getting bi weekly physiotherapy. I have been warned that things could take up to a year to settle and thus I might not even need the assessment at all. I have also been warned that stress can aggravate things especially my neck. Unfortunately my work coach was changed and she decided that she needs to badger me every week and only lead me to having full blown migraines and nights where I cannot sleep because of this. I know I am not as ill as other people, but I am so desperate for the job centre to give me time and space to actually deal with my health now that I feel going off full sick is the only way they will give me space to breath. I am also still pissed that my work coach says it’s policy to contact me once a week when I have had other work coaches who have contacted me every two weeks to once a month!

I suffer from chronic depression and social anxiety and I'm due a phone assessment on Thursday 4th November and I'm bricking it because all I'm hearing is that people are either having their money significantly reduced or completely stopped :/
