With the newer muzzleloaders and a good powder load it’s no issue. Last December I got my buck at 165 yards.

What I usually do is to get an empty water bottle and tie it on the bottle then just wrap the line in the bottle. Also, if you have an empty baitcaster reel, you can just use that and free spool the Tatula then keep on reeling with the extra one.

You go fishing to see if the line is still slipping on the spool? Try grabbing the line and pulling.

I’ve caught on a flippin bitsy bug with a ned ocho for the trailer. Black and blue for the color. I use it on my bfs combo.

No one will have seen it the way you did. So they won’t be able to say for certain. But hearing your thought process, I know you made the right choice.

Near as i can see,You made the right choice. Deer are pretty resilient, strog. Have seen many deer running around with three legs and from year to year they do just fine. Course it would be harder with back leg fouled up. My personal thought. You did good.

Got a medium fast action 6'8 paired with a battle 2 3,000 penn reel. You have been helpful in my decision in buying it.

I’ve been scrounging around the ammo departments all over gathering up loads to pattern out of my 870. So far I’ve got super x 5, xr 5 xr magnum 5, and xr 6. Surprisingly it’s hard to find any nitros like the store don’t even want to try to put them on the shelf lol. But we’re going to be gearing up for spring heat in a few months. Interested to see how they compare.

I have the same rod and I love it , I had to get another one 😅

All my tatulas have done this with braid. It's not the drag, it's the line slipping on the spool, happens with a little temperature change. Long cast and spool the reel, or get your line wet, and they're good to go.

I been throwing a bunch of colors at them the past 2 days and today I put on a bubblegum trick worm wacky style but fished it like the floating worm technique and I caught 15 bass. 13 on the bubblegum trick worm and 2 on a choppo 90. Crazy!
