Healing journey - 6 months after 2nd MVD surgery for Hemifacial Spasm
It’s been 6 months since my 2nd Microvascular Decompression Surgery (MVD) for a chronic condition called Hemifacial Spasm, which affected the left side of my face.
My healing journey continues and in this video I share the 3 things I’m doing to stay on this path.

Ithaca's summer vacation - 2024

Last week Ithaca and I went to visit my parents and sisters in Fresno, CA and got to relax and explore. We visited Bass Lake, CA; Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno, CA; and few indoor parks and outdoor park. Time well spent.

@@skbhai200 yes, with God’s blessing and neurology team led by Dr Edward Chang at UCSF who performed the 2nd MVD surgery earlier this year I am now healed 🙏

How long had it been when you started getting your symptoms again before your second surgery?
My 1st surgery was on Nov 19, 2018 and I didn’t wake up spasm free, however the spasms were reduced. Around June 2019 my spasms returned in full force (worse than before my 1st surgery). As time progressed the spasm got more intense.
I had surgery in 2016 and have been spasms free until about a year ago I was getting them again. It is off and on. I don't know if it is stress related or if I will need another surgery. Glad to hear you are healing well.

Apne surgery kaha se karwai or kya charge lga
Maine surgery yaha UCSF mein karwai. Yeh hospital California mein hai. Mere pass medical insurance hai toh cost insurance ke thru se tha. Maine sirf apna deductible pay kiya.
