My father was abusive to myself and 2 brothers when he wasn't leaving us to freeze in the dark on Christmas After my Mom finally got away we ended with a step dad that was a completely different race and he trained us like soldiers and taught us so much about the good and bad he was around and even the bad he had done as an angry black kid in the south ultimately he was the only true Father I would have and 30 years we were always there for one another even when my Mom and him called it quits we were still his sons I hadn't heard from him in a while after all the madness of trying to figure this out as an adult I remember a dream I had that he was telling me in a disembodied voice to come see him or he was going to haunt me I woke up and told my brother and we were trying to figure out how to get ahold of him The next day we find out he is in the hospital and his new wife out of greed allowed him to lay on the couch and slowly die but his oldest son found him Pancreatic cancer had destroyed the once 250 pound muscular beast we once knew All that was left was this shell of a man unable to speak or answer He looked at me with hurt in his eyes as his best friend and wife were trying to circumvent his will and inheritance for his blood children I was the only one who could understand him so I Helped execute his last wishes Rip Master Splinter I hope I can make you proud I will one day experience losing my siblings and I will never be the same It makes me feel so dumb for allowing dumb stuff to be a reason to be distant or distracted I'm so sorry for your loss in some ways I understand We're all ninjas trying to make our masters proud
