Weird how babies were born “wrong” for centuries before this new vitamin was introduced. The same (synthetic) vitamin that has a black box warning. 🙄

To the other comment surfers: in May 2023 they changed the mammogram start age. It’s currently (as of 2024) 40 years old and still biennial 👍🏼 go get’em tiger
Kind of silly of them to test us on guidelines that are constantly changing
Dog, you taking news from the CDC. I definitely don’t trust you or them. Especially them more.
GOLD updated thier COPD management guidelines in November, 2022. Summarized from U of Minnesota College of Pharmacy website: "The ABCD Assessment tool has been updated to the ABE Assessment tool, combining Groups C and D into Group E due to clinical irrelevance of Group C ... those in Groups B and E should be started on a combination of LABA (Long Acting Beta 2 Agonist) and LAMA (Long Acting Muscarinic Antagonist) therapy instead of either alone. The use of LABA/ICS (Inhaled Corticosteroid) has been phased out given the superiority and all-cause mortality reduction of triple therapy with LABA/LAMA/ICS when corticosteroids are indicated ... Triple therapy is recommended if the patient has a blood eosinophil count of 300 cells/µL or greater, concomitant asthma, or 2 or more exacerbations in a year ... ICS use is not recommended if the patient has had multiple pneumonia events, a blood eosinophil count <100 cells/µL, or a history of mycobacterial infections." So, group A (fewer than 2 exacerbations, mMRC 0 or 1, basically little or no SOB) gets LAMA, group B (fewer than 2 exacerbations, mMRC 2 or greater, more SOB)=gets LAMA + LABA, group E (2 or more exacerbations) gets LAMA + LABA also, plus ICS only if they have 1 or more hospitalizations OR Eos>300. Everyone gets a SABA
