Dr. Faustman cured Type One. Instead of giving her funds for clinical trials, you discredited her and gave money to studies that only CONFIRMED her research. That is why I tell everyone not to give money to JDRF. Diabetes supplies is a multi billion dollar industry ..that is why there will never be a " cure" released. Criminals all!!!!

Don’t forget to avoid government recommended diets. Way too high in carbs…for any human, diabetic or not. Look at Keto, start growing your own food, intermittent fasting, being outside, being part of a local community and being kind.

I’m the same. It’s my condition, it’s my responsibility, I’m an adult diagnosed with T1 (LADA) and I need to own this. It could have been myriad of diagnoses, much worse than T1 (my mum has autoimmune MS) but I deem myself lucky in the lottery that is genetic hereditary autoimmune conditions.

Personally I stick to Vodka and water or Diet Pepsi or Coke Zero, No highs, mostly manageable lows, Dexcom is my saviour. It navigates anything out of range that could possibly put me in danger… warns me long before things become dangerously low..

All type 1s should be able to be helped with the costs of life changing technologies. Every year we spend thousands of dollars just to enable us to function a bit better in our daily lives. It’s a 24/7 minute by minute challenge that never stops.

Great video. T1 has not stopped me doing the things I want to do. Of course I'm a little bit more careful, but I'm like the two dudes who went in to running races, stuff I would never do before T1 now I want to haha. I have kids, a wife, and do running etc... probably look boring to most people. Bring on the cure tho!

Hi Victoria and Charlie, I just want to let you know that you are not alone. We are sharing the same journey. My son Nathan was diagnosed at 9 months old, Valentines Day, 14th February 1997, a day I will never forget! Nathan is now 18 and he still hates diabetes and we have been through the same terrifying lows and damaging highs as you. I would like to say it gets easier with time but you and I both know that would be a lie because it never goes away. Ever. But we do have JDRF and therefore we do have HOPE. If you ever need someone to lean on or just need to vent, I'm here. I wish Charlie and yourself all the best but most of all I wish for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Take care, Sue xx
