At the time I didn’t have a family of my own. But if you do, you can take your family. Best you go first and see what it’s like then you can ask your school to assist you in getting them there especially if your spouse isn’t also a teacher or going to be teaching. At present, I don’t know of any recruiters unfortunately. During the time I was there some where taking people without experience. Now they might still be but ensure you have all the other requirements. I suggest you google ESL/teaching jobs in china and sometimes a lot of recruiters or agencies are linked to these jobs advertised.

Great question! I don’t think that will be possible as when you get the Marriage License from Ministry of Justice, you’d need to go to Registrar General Department where you want to get married (on the same day or as soon as you want to). At the Registrar General Department (the one you want to get married at), you’ll need to hand in the Marriage license, pay the fee and select a date and time you’d want to get married. But I highly doubt they would have same day availability as they would need to organize things for your day. You can probably speak with a pastor outside of the ones RGD use to see if he/she will be able to do the same day for you.

You can get married granted you got the Ministers license, both party in the island at least 24 hrs to the selected date and you set the date and time at the respective RGD office that you want to use. So you can’t go to one RDG office to set appointment and then use another location of RGD. You must make your appointment at the RGD office you want to get married at

I’m not aware that the stamping of the documents can be done in Montego Bay. I know of it being down in Kingston. To be exact, that stamp office is 72 Harbour Street, Kingston. Then after you finish there, you’ll go to Ministry of Justice at 61 Constant Spring Road, Kingston 10.

At present they are mostly accepting ‘white people’ and even blacks who have been there for a while facing challenges getting jobs. Hi hun! So there was no special package. None of the individual meals you saw cost over $4,000JMD each. The curry goat meal and oxtail meal were the most expensive which didn’t pass $4,000 If my memory serves me correctly at the time I found the menu online but now I’m not seeing it. Taking into consideration it’s been a little while since there may have been some adjustments so I’d say check them out.
