Oh my gosh Kelly! I though it would disintegrate at the beginning by flutter or similar. But she pitches down pretty hard. Could you find out what happened? From it´s structure she seamed to work good. Wojtek from the channel @EDF RC Jet or something like that flew a lot his Avantis at high speed too. But I feel yours seemed even faster. Which setup did you have? Was it a 80 or 90mm fan? Now I know why you have the red one xD

Those are super packs for speed runs for sure too! HV I suppose!? And do you now how the GPS works? If it measures just horizontal speed or also vertical? I and a friend have the SkyRC newer one but the measures are varying. Now we try to make very long horizontal runs. But between flights it also changes. The guy from the Avanti has a ZMR gps device (I have seen that also in china and it’s similar to the SkyRC V1) and he told me that would be measuring but horizontally. I was always thinking vertically would also work because it also measures altitude. Just the position changing could be less precise depending on the amount and orientation of the satellites. But in the end it depends on how the computer of the devise is programmed to calculate the result. I’ll need to ask SkyRc …

SUPER! That’s 249 km/h for non English speakers :) super fast on 8S I suppose 👌🏼 A guy here who I sold a Avanti 90mm clocked now 158 mph on a super fancy 12S edf from “ejets” similar to jet fan , with carbon housing. On the FMS 8S he clocked around 149 mph but he wasn’t sure. For him it was all about to hoover with the vector and trying to fly out of a hover. That did not work with 8S and she was slipping down after a while. Sadly I did not see that. He helped on the phone with problems I got with another guy I sold two Avantis and probably did a short circuit or something similar on one. Both guys are more Turbine guys. But the first was super kind so I visited him to give him a HV esc for his 12s edf and got to now him better. He was so humble I did not expect a hangar with more than 20 turbine jets. All built out of wood but from a friend of him. Maybe one of the more impressive ones a James Bond BD-5J in 1:1 scale or for English speakers 💯 100% scale 🤣 But also a Rafale 50% scale I think 😁

For those who want to fly 6s. I ripped out the gyro, put in a Spektrum AR630, a 60 amp avian speed controller, and motion RC 64mm 6s edf unit. With a 2200 6s SMC LIHV pack I am balancing 105mm back from the leading edge.

Great flying! I didn't know that the Avanti was capable of taking such a heavy battery and flying just as well as with a lighter one. Good job! I used to fly mine with a 5200mAh, but lately, I started using 6000mAh HRB 50C batteries. After 5 minutes of flying with those batteries, I land with 45% battery left, so I'm guessing that I could easily fly 7 to 8 minutes and still have enough juice for a go-around or two. For now, I'm leaving my timer set for 5 minutes. With your 10000mAh, you can easily fly 10 minutes or more and still land with enough juice for a go-around. Super cool! She seems to be fast but also to make narrow turns. On bigger jets I´m afraid of that. I have done shenanigans just on my small F-16 64mm on 5S LiIon 4500mAh on our club. Doing super narrow and low turns, almost cobras an stuff. But the last time I also crashed hard and almost hit a friend. He just stayed sitting on the cabin and the plane crashing 2 m from him xD But it was awesome I could redo that flight and land properly. I was doing a high alpha but not flat, coming from up and down. That isn´t as easy as I though and needs more space because it isnt an helicopter hahahaha Sadly my camera went off and I only filmed the last part just in case the plane fails midair. Or the pilot again xD...

hahaha YES .... before did you want to cut your fingers? xD I would just glider here in with a bit more of altitude. But it´s super easy to tell if I have just catched an DLG and only after many tries xD That was a very fun weekend it seems! I want that too!!

I got the Hobbyking tucano which is a nice warbird (seems to be)… But as a real warbird I have an P40 Black Horse one waiting to put a motor and elevator servo to maiden. In a bit afraid of that one. The wings weight a ton with the old landing gears 🤣 🤣

You have some balls 🎱 🥎 too to make that crazy rolls 🤣 I needed to zoom in with my phone because I thought it was just optics 😆 Super greaser landing 👌🏼 just a bit difficult runway and you did not wanted to correct with rudder or were you afraid of tip over? It looks as if you were flying super slow with gear down on the final leg . Also when coming in. But she seems to have no problems at all 👍🏼

Hey ! Your brother looked on that take off and first power up like he would be just learning but then he totally rocked! I just need to say that wasn´t a full inverted loop, "just" like 5/8 hahahaha just joking. Sorry for the landing but it would have been much easier if you would have been staying just next to the pavement. But the plane looks super light what would make it probably difficult to land with the pitch being very sensible. Maybe also more Expo for landing would help? Just thinking out loud. Great flight and great plane!! Before I learned to fly I was about to buy that one. Thanks God I did not do that xD Now I have an old Black Horse P40 waiting for me to put the motor on. But I will be a bit scared to fly that one because it will weight a lot I think... It´s 1,66m I think (65") Have a great weekend there!!
