I got this information from researching the internet. Hope it helps. Please read below: Go under the driver rear bumper and look above the exhaust. You will see a thick black cable. That is a positive cable. Pull back the rubber boot and place the red positive lead of your jumper to that lug and the black negative lead of your jumper to the exhaust. This should provide enough power to open the trunk electrically if the emergency key is not working in the trunk lock cylinder (or if you don't have your emergency key).

You'll see red lettering on the cameras video screen letting you know the camera's WiFi has started. Then go into your phones setting to WiFi and look for WiFi networks. There should be a network that starts with F7N, then several number and letters. Select the F7N network. The password is a standard (12345678). Great question. I haven't had a problem myself, but since I have reviewed several dash cams, my preference is the REDTIGER F7N. Interesting issue. The indicator light should blink twice fast if the battery is low so I don't think your battery is the issue. One suggestion I have is to reset the remote. Insert the reset pin (there should be one in the light bulb packaging) into the reset button hole located where the battery cover is on the remote and press for 3 seconds to reset the remote. If that doesn't help, I'm at a loss. You can also contact EcoSmart Customer Service at 1-877-527-0313. Ultimately, you may want to return the unit to the store for another one or for a refund. Thanks for the comment! I can't think of a way to manually record video to a file folder that will not be written over in real time while driving down the road. There's a G-shock feature that will record if there is an incident that causes you to veer or break quickly in real time. If you want to look at something recorded while driving that interests you, I'd recommend once you get home either download the video via the app or remove the microSD card and download the video from the card before that timeframe is recorded over. Thank you for your response. I believe you are referring to the G-sensor. Honestly, its performance is very poor and completely inaccurate. I set the G-sensor sensitivity to "high" and tested it yesterday by sudden braking. However, 10 seconds after finishing the brake, it started the emergency recording. Unfortunately, when I watched the emergency video, I was surprised that it didn’t record the moment of the sudden braking. The emergency clip recorded by the camera was 10 seconds ahead of the actual emergency event!

@ That’s not good. It should’ve selected enough time for you to view several seconds before the incident and several seconds after the incident.

I believe to view GPS in real time, you’ll need to be logged into the camera's WiFi from the app so you'll have to be in the vicinity of the camera.

Thanks for the comment! If you use the dash cam with the microSD card installed, no, you do not need to access it via WiFi to download the videos. You can just pull the microSD card from the unit and plug the microSD car into your laptop and download the videos there if you need them when there is an accident, or something interesting happens while you're driving and you'd like to view the video.

From my experience, updating the Navigation System helps. My suggestion is to have the dealership update the Navigation software, then perform the other steps I outlined, turn the Jeep off and walk away from it for a while (a few hours at a minimum). Then go back to it and hopefully these things work for you. Best of luck to you as I can not say with certainty that this works for everyone. It did work for me though. I've been U-Connect problem free (knock on wood) for a year and 3 months now.

Oh, and as far as I've been able to research, and from my experience, there is no real resolution defined/documented anywhere. Very sad, right? We paid a lot of money for these vehicles and we get no real help from them.

@@GrayTrend We have same Application Release. The following also shows: Released: 11/2021 Latest Installed Map Release Date: 07/07/2023. The latest manifestation of the issue is periodically when the rear camera comes on, the speakers will buzz and the camera will freeze, after which it will reset. I really appreciate your assistance with this. Very frustrating, but at least I know how to restore the system when it goes out. Have had plenty of practice over the nearly two years I have had the vehicle. LOL.

There is a place on the side of the slide bar tub you place the side bar in, close to the opening of the slide bar tube hole, where there is a plastic piece (similar to a pinball flipper) screwed in with a Philips head screw that you can pull back on and this will release the support bar and allow you to pull it completely out.

That confuses me too about all of the Band Saws being sold. It says it's a 10 inch band saw, but that's where it leaves the top compartment (wheel), runs through the work table, then enters the bottom compartment (bottom wheel housing). You have to take off inches for the guide and the top of the work table which only allows you 6 inches of space to cut through wood. Just tell people you can cut up to 6 inches. It's like that 24 inch bass you caught, right?
