MSSQL Server Installation on Windows Server Core
In this video, I’ll demonstrate how to install Microsoft SQL Server on a server system running Windows Server Core (no GUI). As a bonus, I’ll quickly cover the installation of Windows Admin Center and how to use it to easily manage a Windows Server Core instance from any client system via a modern web browser.

Yikes, this one is tricky, but anything is better than to deal with the not wanted "features". I just want my OS clean as possible for gamin.

Does it matter if you are installing into Intel ? Couse your code says AMD.
If this one can use Battlenet, then this might be the thing for me. Steam and Origin are secondary to World of Warcraft. For example when the servers are down, i play other games, or when i just need a breathe.
can you setup a full business domain network using only server 2025 core? none of the servers should have a GUI. - a domain controller - a file and printer server - ADCS - SQL Server - etc ....

What happens if you lose access to Windows. Is it possible to just reinstall windows and recover the pools/virtual drives and restore data?
Is there a way to monitor the storage spaces for physical drive failure or other virtual failures without physically logging into windows. Something proactive that will generate alerts or email.
Help. It still forces me o connect to the internet. There's no 'I dont have internet' option
if you shut down your internet first while installing it will detect that you dont have net and will or should (as in the past) detect you dotn have a net connection adn should auto proceed from there, idk what it is your trying to install but in my experiences and based on past experiences i would dissconnect my pc from my internet by unpluggin the cable (now adays we have mobos with build in wifi cards) so now adays one "could" shut off they router/modem temperarely, or even disable the wifi card via bios to get through this aspect would just have to remember to re enable afterward

Might have been a great tutorial except that ALL the syntax/cmds should have been included as a text file or some copy-able text. It's a LOT to read and retype from screen video!
What about adding cache drive?
This feature is much better than the Hardware RAID, I had many hardware arrays that failed and never rebuilt proeprly, because the controller does not work as expecetd or goes bad for no reason and very slow. HARDWARE RAID IS DEAD !

Thank you for telling me to unregister when I didn't really mean to - I just lost my WSL, as I did it in wrong order. Jeeez, this command is dang stupid - how could anyone name REMOVE/DELETE option "unregister". Microsoft WTF? And no damn prompt. No chances to recover as I have no backup nor restore. Great.

Okay, but how do you make the system drive redundant? You have to install windows on a drive in the first place in order to get to these screens to create a storage space and the primordial storage only seems to contain all of the other drives. How do you make the system drive redundant if you're just looking for some basic redundancy?
He said it at @1:04. He had 2 x 254 GB disks in Raid 1.

@@joerebis2063 don't think this is possible using storage spaces but you could use traditional Windows Mirroring in Disk Management
@@Completely_Incomplete Thank you, I have just heard that it is potentially pretty slow and that might be an issue on the system drive. I run NVME capable RAID cards on other larger servers that I have but that's too expensive for a commodity server. My guess I am just trying to figure out what everybody is doing for system drive redundancy in an NVME environment in an AMD system without an external card. I used to use Intel RAID on Chip (ROC Chip) but it requires Intel CPUs and might still pose a bottle neck for NVME throughput.
@@joerebis2063 I don't see how Mirroring using Windows (not storage spaces) would be any slower than just running a single drive. If it was Raid5 I'd understand that performance wouldn't be great. But with raid 1 you get double the safety and no advantage or disadvantage to speed.

When does this new build come out?
KB5030310 came out 26 Sept. For some computers, it provided the enhancements in the video. For others, only a subset. However, KB5030310 is only build 22621.2361, which is sill 22H2. As to when 23H2 is coming out, that still seems to be up in the air.
