i was there.. i totally understand what you are saying.. i also don't agree with what they believe from the beginning.. but i don't want to leave them, So I'm currently still following their bible class while hoping.. but I also often question myself, should I go or stay there even though I don't accept all of their teachings? sometimes I also feel that what I am doing is stupid.. I studied with them for only two months now

Shincheonji teaching is according to bible. Speaking against the teaching according to bible. The betrayer and destroyer will be cursed and judged. So many Christians denomination. Why not attack them.

Umm, I think this is up to discussion. Because not everything that is controversial is bad but needs to be examine and see what is exactly going on. Plus, those are just ways to approach someone or a group for a successful outcome in general. Businesses do it to get clients, guys do it to get girls, like campus organizations, and so on, unless you are super popular and do need to go to people but people coming to you. I do not think it is cultish to be strategic. But what else is going on with this Korean church? Like, I am more curious about what they are teaching. Like, if it makes sense, if it is backed up by verses, or if they do things that are not Biblical. I am curious, because these days with this cancel culture, you may not even have the opportunity to really evaluate something that could be a starter point for to open a new view or learning. Because if you want my honest opinion, Christian churches are weird in general as well, but we grew up and are used to this weird. Or may be I am just too open minded to think this way, at the same time I know it can be hard to hear stuff. But I am curious what they teach, because who cares about how the person giving the word looks like, or if it feels unfamiliar. Because what if Jesus comes back and we are like, he looks like a cult guy and we bypass him?! May be His second coming won't be so different from the first one. May be the way is really narrow for real, or may be not. May be we just need to be Christian and believe without knowing deeply what is written, and we're good. But without going deeper, questioning, and analyze what is really going on, we are just all blindly following something! Perhaps even in our respective churches that we are used to. Could be good, could be bad.

I have been seeking God with all my heart I found there are many churches that are corrupt. I have been to 4x churches over the years I found there teachings did not add up I am still seeking the truth the true word of God. How do I find SCJ? I want to join and see for myself. We must remember Lord Jesus had the word yet not many believed in him.

The confusing thing is how they only make it seem like a 6-month bible study and then after that, you end up getting tricked/guilt-tripped/convinced to stay. My friend presented this to me as a 6-month bible study and as I started feeling more and more uncomfortable, I couldn't wait till it ended because I was getting physically exhausted as you said. I fell asleep on the road four times because of having to stay up late studying etc., My mom knew I was in a Bible study and thought it was wrong because it was affecting my health and my grades. But I didn't believe her because I was very passionate at first. Now I can see that she was right.

I also fell into this cult for the past eight months and it has made me really confused. The Bible studies started out fine. We studied the parables as you said and it seemed simple. But eventually, I started feeling more and more uncomfortable too, and began to feel more anxiety in my heart that made me feel even more distant from God. So I stopped committing and responding to messages. How do I avoid them and truly escape? I met a lot of friends that are close to me and will try to convince me to come back. Thank you for your testimony!
