The Southard Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Community Celebration (Live Stream)
The Southard is the first affordable homeownership development in the United States to be co-certified Salmon-Safe and Zero Energy through the Seattle-based International Living Future Institute. On June 28, alongside community partners, Homestead Community Land Trust celebrated the completion of The Southard-their latest permanently affordable homeownership development in Tukwila!

I want to do the same with my house, but I can't seem to get hold of anyone to tell me how to get this done.

Why are there photos of only young people. Older people have the same needs.
Dear Saundra, Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry you can't hear the narrative of the video. If you can view the video, at some point, with the sound I think you'll enjoy hearing these families' stories. The families featured in this video are just three of our over 170 homeowning households. Because the theme of this year's Stewardship Breakfast was "Building a Foundation for Future Generations", we chose to focus on stories of young families with children. You're right, of course, that older members of our community also need affordable homeownership opportunities. We work with people of all ages and all family configurations. We partner with modest-income people who are trying to become homeowners. Unfortunately, we are unable to financially assist people who are already own homes. Are you in the Seattle area?
