The Cowboys meet The Cook
The boys and I were talking about food today, go figure, and I remembered this old recipe from "The Cowboys".

Two great actors in a wonderful scene. I wish I could have had one of Nightlinger’s pies. 😁

Drunk on Sunday & Married on Monday; look at the virtuosity with words.
I remember seeing Roscoe in several TV episodes in different roles. The one with Colombo while he was eating sticks out. He was a physiatrist discussing a former patient from SF who was under suspicion by Colombo.
Ha, John Wayne's acting is easily eclipsed, but Roscoe Lee Browne was completely magnetic here. Wayne hardly seemed to even be in this scene.
fix up some sugartits to take along? What?
I saw him in the movie Logans run
An overall great movie.
He should have had far bigger parts in his career
This movie was like a bolt of lighting when it came out. Everything about it is perfect.
I want some sugar tits!!
A drive is only successful it you have a good cookie !!!
Mr Nightlinger was the perfect foil to mr anderson.
“Beware the bad cat that bears a grudge.”
Be honest. You giggled on hearing "sugar tits"!! 😂
Roscoe Lee Brown. Woodbury N.J. 's own. R.I.P.
Love Love Love Love this movie!
Wow, several stars, & the DUKE! John P.
"Hope I didn't ride all the rough off him"
Directed by Mark Rydell. About the furthest thing from a director of westerns you could find in modern cinema. But he knew how to tell stories and that he did here.
I'm gonna be that guy, but the MAGA/Alt right crowd would do well to remember that arch-conservative John "Duke" Wayne filled his movies full of black and Hispanic men and women who were just as upstanding American as he was and white men who were utterly corrupt villains. I don't agree with his politics, but I can't disagree with his humanism.
"Whattya want for wages" ? ..."All I can get" !.....🤠
Roscoe helped make that movie into a classic. The knife throwing scene was a hoot.😁
Roscoe have something good in his sleeves
Almost like a guardian angel that showed up fortelling what the boys would need to get by 🤔
"What are Sugartits?" 😅
"Sugar Tiits?!" -- I'll take two, thank you!
Was it Roscoe Lees voice on the chrome robot in the movie Logan’s RUN. Unique voice. Also the guy who voiced DARTH Vader
Great movie. This was one of many gray parts.
Nightlinger was the best character in a movie filled with wonderful characters. And the actor that played him was one of the best there ever was. "Doesn't anything larger want to work for you?" is one of the best movie lines, ever! The Cowboys is a favorite of mine and my wife's. We have very different tastes. Many of my absolute favorites she can't sit through, and I can say the same about hers. But this one we can watch together, and do, several times a year.
Roscoe Lee Browne. One of the best there ever was.
That thing he just pulled in on is either a horse drawn camper on a semi with 4 horsepower...
This is my favorite John Wayne movie of all, and this scene is just one small part of the reason why.
One badass movie 👍
Sugartits
Great this is a great movie John Wayne has always made good movies and this is one of them but I don't like the way that guy shoots him and kills him but those those boys got all the cows and the horses to where they need to be❤
Greatest job interview ever.
I always wondered what sugar tits were lol
Mr. Nightlinger is my favorite character in the movie besides the character played by The Duke.
I loved this movie! RIP Roscoe Lee Browne. RIP John Wayne.
Wtf are sugar tits?
ahh man...hard to watch as my old friends and hero's pass. I saw this in the theaters when I was just a 'yonker' ...
Yeah, you can never have too many sugar tits!!
There was a short lived TV series based on this movie!
Oregon, Chisolm, Santa Fe, some without names!
John Wayne must’ve been in dire straits to have worked for a diehard communist Liberal, Director!!! Only a diehard communist liberal would put an even more diehard, communist liberal actor as a camp cook just to piss off John Wayne even more!!! Fuck Hollywood then fuck Hollywood now!!!
