Third Gen Obsession
Приєднався 16 січ 2023
I always had a love and passion for Third Gen Camaro’s since my mom had one when I was little. Owner of four of them now and I want to share my passion and know how I’ve learned along the way so far as well as learn from anyone else who loves these Camaros.

These Camaro seats were filthy! Final results of the interior detail of my third gen
In todays Camaro video, I finish up detailing the interior and getting the seats back in the third gen. After scrubbing and extracting I was pleased with the overall result. The before and after videos are amazing. A lot cheaper than replacing the entire screen interior of a Camaro that sat for years.

In this video I show you how to transform your dull, faded paint by doing a simple paint correction on my 1983 Chevy Camaro. This is single stage paint which over time, when neglected, can lose its shine. What’s Next? Third Gen Camaro LS Swap Project
Переглядів 564Рік тому
Quick video showing my 1992 Camaro RS LS swap project. Progress I’ve made so far and what still needs to be done for this Camaro to get back on the road. Hardtop with a Frankenstein job along with an underpowered 305 made it the perfect candidate for my LS swap project. Inspired by people like fireball mullet and lsxmatt
Is this 1985 Camaro even worth fixing? (Found some gems in the trunk)

Today I wanted to see if the engine was still locked up on the old third gen Camaro. This 1985 6 cylinder Camaro has seen better days. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned and I have some work cutout for me. Made some cool finds while switching out the tail lights though

Much needed new wheels for the third gen Camaros
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Рік тому
Acquired these third gen Camaros on a barter. The tires were dry rotted and the wheels were in rough shape. Marketplace finds changed that, now they are able to roll and I can start the restoration process a little easier
Did you have to bypass the ignition theft system?
So, you were missing the key, was it possibly the anti-theft/VATS type key? Im gonna get a new ignition key and hope to bypass that whole mess. I wonder if it will work for me is the question. Good work regardless!
Yeah I’m dealing with the same issue like after that I should be able to start my car..
Do something, no matter how miniscule it may be, everyday. I started mine, completely every nut bolt screw...same color and everything 2.5 years ago and all that's left is rear portion of exhaust, paint and wheels. Push hard. Nothing worth having ever comes easy. Best looking vehicle ever made Imho. Rooting for ya dude🍻
Thank you! You’re absolutely right
can you do some volume normalization next time? That switch at 2:36 to loud ass music got my ears dead
I will work on that thanks for the feedback
Did you buy this in New Jersey?
Connecticut
I'm at about the same stage with my 83 z28. I was thinking 6.0 4l80 but I just got offered a 2005 van with a 5.3 4l60e for $600. I'm gonna follow your project for sure. Whats the end goal with your car? Mine is gonna get a single turbo. I want to do drag and drives with it. Don't go with a 4th gen aluminum driveshaft if you want to up the power. I have a 2002 z28 with a set of headers and a single disc monster clutch. My driveshaft snapped the first run at the drag strip after putting in the clutch. They can't take much. I got a steel one made. It was only about $350.
how easy would it be to remove the fenders once the front bumper is off? Mine are in really bad shape and I'd like to replace both front fenders
It shouldn’t be too hard to do once the cover is off, there’s a couple UA-cam videos on it as well as forums that would be able to help you unfortunately I don’t have a video on that yet to direct you to
Some lime away bathroom cleaner will take the rust stains out
Thanks I’ll give it a shot

I think you need to check out my 92 Camaro if you have time I took everything I mean everything off except the glass and started over it’s taken me about 2 years cause I’m a framer so I built my car part time and on a budget. I completely rewired it and put everything on quality toggle switches I put a LS and a AR5 5speed transmission I have driven it so everything I did worked out This car has been my life for two years and everything works!!!! You can do the same to that car Thank you for the video it reminded me of my car I have done a shit load of work on my 92. I love my car
Hell yeah I definitely will check it out! Thank you
My 84 was originally a V6 2.8L. I swapped it out for a 5.7 V8, much more enjoyable car to drive now. Don't even waste your time on the V6. I hated that engine, a shopping cart is faster. But your car is totally worth saving, there are less and less of these on the road now. Even though a lot of people won't admit it, they are becoming more collectable. Just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you! I love these cars, appreciate the input 👍🏻
I just subscribed to your channel I been trying to find some IROC wheels for my 89 rs camaro on my channel
If you watch gee money Car Crushing and cowboy Car Crushing they probably crushed 20 of those cars
I’ve never seen that! That’s sad but slowly adds value to them I guess lol
🔥🔥🔥
It’s a t top car I say put a v8 in it and call it a day
If you're parting out that V6 I could use that air cleaner!
Shoot me an email thirdgenobsession@gmail.com
350 or 400 sbc. or big block swap. stay traditional

I like the new wheels!
Thank you! All works in progress
Looks much better!
One step at a time they’ll get there
