Wells Fargo Active Cash - The best 2% rewards card for simplicity
Don’t get this card! Citibank doesn’t tell you everything when applying! I am so sorry i got their double cash card
I'm curious what they didn't tell you when applying. Maybe I can do a video on that so that others applying can know.
Citi is promoting good credit card habits.
Thanks for sharing this update! The Delta SkyMiles limited-time offers sound like a great opportunity. Always appreciate these timely alerts-it’s so helpful for planning trips and maximizing rewards. Keep the news coming! ✈🙌
You missed the fact that Hawaiian Airlines has a partnership with Delta and those tickets can be used for sky club if one has access. Also, some of the passes don’t allow you to go into the lounge after your flight
We just few allegiant for the first time wow it was such a surprise it was so reasonable didn’t have to change planes two or three times….It was a nice direct flight..
What keeps me thinking about the Delta Reserve card over the Amex Platinum is the companion certificate. I can use that benefit and it will more than pay for itself. On the other hand I don’t fly exclusively with Delta so I am still thinking about the platinum card. My home airport is BOS and my most common destinations are CDG, FCO, LHR, SFO, YVR, and RSW.
There are 2 AAA cards. One gives 5% on groceries, the other 5% on gas.
Does delta first class ticket 2 hours flight give access to lounge ?
No. Delta first class tickets do not come with Sky Club access. Only DeltaOne does. Anything else, you’re going to need some other way to access the lounge.
Plus, hotels, gas stations, rental car agencies, and more put a hold on your card that can last for days (even after you paid them), so you may have money in the bank, but transactions could be declines & checks bounced due to those holds.
When I worked in a bank branch, I would have so many customers come in due to fraud on their debit cards. I always recommended using a credit card for purchases and only using debit for ATM deposits and withdrawals.
Thanks for sharing😊

So true
What’s a good zipcode to get the daily advantage card? All I see when I login is the aaa cashback visa signature. Which only gets 3x on gas, groceries, and dining. Nothing about wholesale clubs
90210 pulled up the card as did 10108 and 55401. Depending on which region's AAA site you hit, they might feature the travel card and make you dig for the Daily Advantage. I believe that you can get the card in any region. But it's frustrating that they don't just offer a consistent landing page.
After flying with delta for years, on the company tab, I realized it’s actually just overpriced garage.
They certainly have taken a lot of the love out of their loyalty program. I used to be pretty loyal to Delta and Northwest because I could get great value from the miles and consistent upgrades. Nowadays, I'm often waiting at the gate to see if I can get into the coach seats with extra legroom. So, I end up flying on a lot of other airlines.
Good video, very informative, thank you.
How does it compare to the American Express Blue Cash Everyday? Which one do you think is better?
Over the Blue Cash Everyday? Depends on your spending patterns. If you can take advantage of the Disney Bundle credit on the BCE, or if you spend in the online shopping category, the BCE is likely better. Just remember that each of the bonus categories' 3% rewards are capped at $6k of spending each calendar year. But strictly on groceries, I like the AAA Daily Advantage better. Especially since I also buy groceries at Costco.
A question, which card should I choose as the main one of the points count? I ask since the points with Rewards Plus are worth less since their focus is not cash back.
I'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter which account is the "primary" account. You'll get the best redemption option in each card. So you should be able to cash out at 1 cent per point if you combined Double Cash and Rewards+, regardless of how you do it. If you want to be safe, make the Double Cash card the main card.
@cardsandpoints That's my biggest doubt, if Double Cash is the primary, do I still get 10% on the points when redeeming them?
Well done, clean, clear explanation.
What?
I love it because my primary grocery store is Walmart Neighborhood Market, and it gets 5% there. 👍🏾👍🏾
If you want, you can earn money through UA-cam. I will help you with that.
Straight up content appreciated rewards plus+ informed 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for this video! I do not have an account with Bank of America. I use Chase for my checking account, and Capital One for my high yield savings account. Does Bank of America have a good high yield savings account? I love Costco, but I don’t think it would be worth it to move all of my money to Bank of America just for this credit card unless they also have a great high yield savings rate for my idle money. I’m probably going to end up getting the triple A card (3% in store) in combination with the Citi Costco Anywhere Visa (4% gas)
The AAA card is probably a great call. But remember that you can move $10,000 of Roth IRA balances to Merrill and still qualify for preferred rewards with platinum honors. Merrill has a self-directed account option and offers index ETFs. But I definitely agree with you that you shouldn’t move $100,000 of cash over to Bank of America. The interest rates they pay on their deposit accounts are pretty pathetic.
@ thanks!! I’m going to look into Merrill. I usually use Fidelity for my investing. Maybe I’ll start putting my new earned money into an account with Merrill. If I can get to just the Platinum rewards, then my rewards at Costco are already better than the combination of cards I had before. I have a Roth 401k at my job. I think that’s similar to a Roth IRA. I’m not sure.
I think I’d rather spend the $695for the annual membership to the sky club
For most people who would visit the Sky Club more than 15 times a year, this is the best choice.
Great video. Delta and Jetblue are my go to airlines. I have the Delta Reserve, Delta Platinum and the Business Platinum Cards. I try to use as much credits and lounge access as possible. My flight airports are Newark, JFK and LGA
That's a tough combination, especially across airports. If I was mostly Delta out of JFK, I'd seriously consider the Sapphire Reserve and the new Chase Sapphire lounge in Terminal 5. If you're flying every week though, just paying for a Delta Sky Club membership might be your best bet.
@@cardsandpointshe probably has the combination to get him airline status.
if you're a road warrior and balla like C&P, then just spend the $75k on your Plat Card and call it good.
LOL. No way! C&P would rather have $1,500 more in his investment accounts earning him interest and dividends! Spending almost $2,200 between the annual fee on the card and what I'd give up on a 2% cash back card doesn't make sense for me, especially when I could buy lounge access outright for much less. For 2025, I'm switching to the Amex Business Platinum. I earned a 175k point welcome bonus, plus I get unlimited access to two other lounges at my home airport and I'll get a handful of Delta Sky Club visits for when I want to go there instead.
Top video
I heard many credit card doesn't consider walmart , Costco, target as GROCERY STORES for cash back ? Can you confirm?
This is correct. Costco is generally going to code as a warehouse club, which gets 3% with this card. Most target and Walmart stores do not code as grocery stores. Apparently there are some out there that do, but that is really store by store. If you buy groceries mostly at target or Walmart, check out these lists: www.cardsandpoints.com/best-credit-cards-for-target/ www.cardsandpoints.com/best-cards-for-walmart/ Hope that helps!

Great info! Thank you! We fly out of SFO, and travel for vacation, not for work. So while we love decompressing in the lounge between flights, we recently downgraded from the reserve card to the Amex blue, with no annual fee - virtually no perks, but also no annual fee.
I’m curious why you didn’t outright cancel. If you are wanting to earn sky miles on your purchases, I have some ideas that will be in a future article. I will link that when it is posted.
Great review, thanks
Love the comprehensive breakdown
I went with the Chase Sapphire Reserve since I don't always fly delta.
Great choice! Are you in a place that you can access the Chase Sapphire lounges? If you've got other cards in the Chase ecosystem, there are plenty of ways to boost the value of all of your points with that card.
Thank you. Solid info.
I am surprised you did not mention this but one way to to get Delta SkyClub membership is to attain Diamond Medallion status and use multiple Choice Benefits to buy membership. Yet another way to purchase a membership is with SkyMiles, rather than cash. It is essentially a penny/mile: 69,500 miles/individual or 149,500/executive. These would be best for the true million-mile DL road warrior. I traveled with my work for about 25 years and since I am based in ATL, virtually all of my travel was on DL. I reached Medallion status fairly quickly so the Crown Room/Sky Club was just a perk back then. I think the whole lounge thing is a bit overrated these days. Its nice, especially if you like to drink a lot, but if you are having to go through hoops or major expense just to gain access, you are better off just going to an airport bar or restaurant.
So basically the best way to go to Delta lounges is to go to other ones. lol Joking aside, I wonder how many people does this actually affect?
Only Delta and Amex know how many Amex cardholders actually go to the club more than 15 times a year. But I think that the majority of people who are impacted by this change will find out later in 2025 when they are either denied lounge access or get multiple surprise $50 charges on their cards, well after they've sunk the cost of the annual fee. I wonder how many cardholders who use the lounge even know that this change is happening. Maybe I hit the point that there are other lounge networks a bit too hard, but really I do think that there are a lot of people paying for Delta lounge access who can get by and pay much less by going with a Venture X and Priority Pass. And the idea of someone spending $75k on a Delta card and getting one SkyMile per dollar just to get unlimited lounge access makes me sad. That's giving up so much value!
Thanks and solid tips.
💯💯for these Tips 🫡
Prime shorts material imho
Hi, just received my card and conducted extensive research online and called US Bank. Here is the simple way to avoid the $50 investment account fee, open an IRA investment account w/$100,000 of assets, sign up for the smartly rewards on the smartly checking account which is also a tier system. If you have $100,000 balance across your accounts you qualify for "Premium" status and the $50 IRA investment account fee is waived. Because it makes no sense to get this card and have to open other accounts that charge fees.
6% after spending 1,500 a quarter? Yeah buddy. Lol. I get 3% with my card, no matter the amount.
Which card?
Which card do you use?

My guess is the PayPal card, since I've been eyeing that one too. That it?

From the terms and conditions: "If you purchase a Purchased Warranty of twenty-four (24) months or less on a Covered Purchase with an original Manufacturer’s Warranty (or Store Warranty), this coverage doubles the time period of the Covered Purchase’s original Manufacturer’s Warranty (or Store Warranty) up to an additional twenty-four (24) months following the day that the original Manufacturer’s Warranty (or Store Warranty) and the Purchased Warranty’s coverage periods end."
@ I stand corrected. 🫡

JP Morgan Chase might be the most dishonest bank in America. They have appealing cards but it is not worth the risk of being cheated by them.
US Bank Shoppers Plus offers 6% back on your choice of 2 out of about a dozen major retailers including Amazon. No annual fee the first year. You need to choose the retailers quarterly even if you wish to keep the same retailers. $1500 spending limit per quarter for the 6% bonus.
Disney is no longer a family friendly company but produces filth to corrupt children and young adults. DisneyPlus is free on certain Total Wireless rate plans. Total Wireless used to be a garbage TracFone family company but is now owned by Verizon with excellent Verizon coverage, low prices and free roaming in Latin America.
The Smartly card is ruined by a FTF. Many cash back cards don't have FTF like Fidelity and Bank of America.
Thank you for pointing this out. Unfortunately this rules this card out for me
How do you only have 32 subs? Do you have previous experience doing this? I was expecting a few thousand subs based purely on video quality.
Thank you. :) I've been writing about credit cards, travel rewards and miles and points for quite some time, but video is a completely new thing for me. At this point, I am absolutely learning a ton about video production with every new video.
Probably upload consistency
Aw man that $50 account maintenance fee is dumb I knew there was a catch, but I’m not seeing it in the website for US Investments.
It's pretty buried. Under Account Maintenance Fee on this page: www.usbank.com/investing/online-investing/self-directed-investing/brokerage-fees.html
I got the card and asked the banker if it gets signature benefits and said yes but you can't find that on the internet. She appeared she had to hunt a bit for that information.
The value of the Active Cash card just increased significantly with the addition of transfer partners. Combine your cash back rewards with either of the WF Autograph cards to unlock transfers to a growing number of airlines & hotels.
Very thorough and clear deep dive into this card. Thank you for sharing this insightful breakdown!
