Hi Pastor Ben. I appreciate your teaching, preaching, and sense of humor when you deliver the message. Haha. I live in Oakland and have worked in SF since 2014. I remember visiting your church many years ago pre Covid. I recently watched the message from March about “It’s All in Your Mind.” That message series really resonated with me as well as this new one. It’s helping me to take ownership of some lifelong habits I’m just now “seeing” at age 54. I’ll definitely watch and learn from this new message series and pray for you and your family and staff as you prepare to move into your new location. God bless you!

I found this "pleasing" idea very -- curious. God cannot be bribed nor placard. God will do things if it is according to His will. I do not have kids. If I was a father, I DO NOT expect my kids to please me. I EXPECT them to grow upright and have the right MORAL, knowing right from wrong. Doing all things that are righteous. And stay close to me. That is ALL I ask. If my kids try to "please" me, I wonder how I will feel... Many times I think Christians talk with both sides of their months. "God is all loving and merciful!", they said. Then, "you better don't do anything (human) that will upset God, for it will displease Him!" Huh? Is our (or your) God so small that He can be easily offended? I am so curious! What about "Christ died on the cross and took away ALL of our SINS!" Aren't SINS graver that all the "displeasing acts" we did? I don't understand Christians. And I will ask them to watch their own acts (and hearts) before they mind my business. I have only ONE Judge; the ALMIGHTY GOD. And I will be happy to stand before the Judgement Throne to account to my FATHER IN HEAVEN of all things I do on earth.

From the hospitality team to the pastors; I felt humility, love and Practical Christianinty at display. Thanks believers hope to attend again and again when I come around or online .

"What you are doing (your profession) is the vocation God given to you." Love it!

Our relationship with God, our father in heaven is quite similar to our relationship with our parents on earth. God is almight. He CAN make us all PERFECT -- the PERFECT Tin-Can Soldiers. All perfect. All SIMILIAR. But, God did not do that. He gave us FREEDOM, hence there is Good vs Evil. Just as Jesus was tempted as human / flesh, God lets us be tempted, too. God takes delight in seeing our Character Development. He let us struggle to figure out the Right Paths.

Years ago, that was before Charlie Rose fell into disgrace, he interviewed a little black girl author. He asked her "what do you like about yourself?" She said "I like myself." She smiled. She said that lines a few more times. I think THAT is the answer to self worth. And the source for happiness and contentment. If you have Self Worth -- if you LIKE Yourself, you have no misery. You have no doubt. And you have LOTs of Room to like and give to the others. And your life is filled with PEACE and Joy. . . . Talking about God -- I take it as Self-Evidence that GOD LOVES US. And he is our Heavenly FATHER. He is all LOVE & all Merciful. Pastor Ben recommended Paul Miller's book on Prayer that it is the BEST Prayer books out there. I agreed. Miller said our (prayer) should be like a conversation over the dinner table with our favorite guests. Our father DELIGHT in us! Remember how new parents delight in seeing their babies spoke their first words, or took their first steps? That is nothing grand about them. But, the parents took Great Delight in that simple act! So, run to your heavenly father like a child even if you have chocolate ice cream smudged over your face, you have mud all over your clothing after having stomped on puddle of rain water, your heavenly father DELIGHT in Seeing you! CS Lewis, the most well-known Christian Apologist (Apologist does not apologize for being a Christian, but defends it as if defending Laws in the Court) wrote "I trust God (he loves us, I add), just like I trust the sun always rises from the East. And through it, I see everything." So much about God, Jesus, and Self Love (or doubt.)

This is such an EXCELLENT talk! Precious words. Beautiful description of Jesus "being in the business of coming to find us." Vs. "Nobody is coming for you!" Jesus saying "I see you!" JESUS IS COMING FOR YOU! We're going to celebrate you. Thank you, Ruthie.

🔥 It's embarassing. They did not understand that the HOLY SPIRIT is THE FATHER IN A SPIRIT FORM, that is, NO THIRD wheel exists. Jesus states "(1) God is (2) a spirit". Well, Jesus simply calls Him sometimes (1) "Father", sometimes (2) "Spirit" (Holy) depending on the situation, but in both cases He refers to the SAME ONE GOD, not to TWO different Divine Persons! EVIDENCE of that can be obtained by checking out who is INSIDE JESUS: ONLY THE FATHER is inside Jesus to help him, "I am in the Father and the FATHER IN ME". Neither A. a "LORD in dove-form who gives life" (a Lord unknown in the bible) nor B. a PARACLETE in dove-form is with Jesus. (The Paraclete - who has nothing to do with birds - will only be sent after Jesus' death!). "I am not ALONE because the Father is with me", i.e. The ONLY ONE with Jesus is the FATHER. Thus, you are now able to IDENTIFY who is the HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE JESUS: He is the FATHER! - this means that the Holy Spirit accountable for Mary's pregnancy WAS THE FATHER " The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the POWER OF THE HIGHEST shall overshadow thee " - this means that when Jesus was baptized the HOLY SPIRIT SAID "Thou art my beloved Son." - this means that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit means: blasphemy against the Father.... The Paraclete is NOT the Holy Spirit. Jn. 14:26 has been simply tampered with by a trinitarian supporter who "was short of Gods" (not happy with the nonexisting "Lord who gives life") and decided to "upgrade" the unknown Paraclete, to make him a "dove-God". "On that day YOU will know that I am in my FATHER, YOU are in ME, and I am in YOU.", i.e. you can see that NO PARACLETE IN DOVE FORM is there, just the FATHER and the SON ! NO PARACLETE IN DOVE FORM sits in heaven next to Jesus either.
