Mom hade a Ukelele when I was a child, I remember it being a simple brown mahogany uke, it seems like there was an Aloha decal on the headstock. She played tunes like 5 ft. 2. and i think i remember a hawaiian tune or two. She had fun, and us kids liked it.

First class, I remember seeing Bobby Darin on the TV as a kid.

I,m feeling a little silly tonite, I tried to share your music with my neice who lived in alaska, she bought a ukelele a few years ago but I think I may have sent it to the wronng neice. Hawaii is kind of like " Mexico" to me, I've never really been but I'd sure like to go. I have never been to Spain, but i've been to Oaklahoma, true story. Thank you and keep it up.

This is what was on the radio when I grew up. I have a niece, that I believe now lives in Hawaii, from Alaska, a few years ago she bought a Uke.

I always enjoy your play -a- longs and they are easier to play than other play-a-longs. Julie how long have you been playing the bass? Do you prefer that over a concert or other sizes? I have a Dean soprano, Kala concert, electric Les Paul concert, and an electric concert banjolele which is really fun but I have considered getting a bass but would have to learn the different strings/notes and I'm sure it would mix me up but I sure like the sound. Thank You for your videos. Miss Hawaii, lived in Aiea many years ago and on the mainland now; but have gone back to visit ohana and friends over the years.

Oh, that was excellent! So many great songs back then. Glad you're playing them because I'd rather learn these than today's songs. Many exceptions, of course. I think Girl In the War by Josh Ritter would suit your instruments pretty well, especially if you fingerpick the ukulele.
