My "86 was an Elan. I don't remember, but I think the dash, trim & wheels were different.

I had one of these in the early nineties, same year. Black with red interior. Loved that car. Called it the thunder chicken.

I remember those very well when I rented from Hertz car rental back then. The Cougar looked the same, except the roof wasnt as rounded off in the back. Some of those came with a 302 V8 also. People should have taken care of those cars and not gone crazy with foreign cars like they did. Those Tbirds and Cougars had the good rear wheel drive and good cast iron engines. Those mid 80s cars is what the 98 to 2011 Lincoln town cars were built off of. My 2005 Lincoln town car is actually the same thing but is longer with 4 doors, and has the 4.6 V8, but I like the mid 80s V6 and V8 better actually because you didnt have the awful cam chains and tensioners nightmare issues

These cars are indestructible, rust....so what, its a 96, most new cars wont last this long and this thing if its maintained wlll still be on the road for another almost 30 years.

For what the auction is going for its a good deal, but that rust is a lot more than what was stated. There's holes next to the front jack points though, really bad ones.

I like the body on my 2008 better. Only 60,000 original miles. No rust, garage kept. Mint. Ill never sell it.

Last Monte Carlo was built for 1988 model year...these "Monte Carlos" were just guzzied up Lumina coupes...

nicer than my daily driver manual 5 speed 98 Sentra....at least my car has no rust at all though...no a/c...i live in alabama and have to deal with that

Damn near 180.000 miles. You're slamming the doors like your grape ape, and you don't know shit about the van. I bid $ 1.00. I might go up to $ 1.50. They still make these vans dumbass.

Nice wheels? Really ? Wrong size.. Little bit of scraping.. A few very long dents. Right front fender top side big ding. A little bit of corrosion.. There is no such thing.. especially on an MGB "dog leg". Also rusted out under the front fenders which likely means the "castles" are also rotted out. Hideous worn out interior and these bits are expensive to replace. "Nice" after market top.. no replacement parts are available for these except some seals from Mac Gregor in Canada. The trunk lid is mashed. Under the hood.. "slight corrosion",, no .. that is serious rust. Rotted radiator bulkhead to hood seal.. minor but an indictor of the former owner's attention and lack of maintenance. Under the car.. "super clean" nope it's a mess. Non original exhaust. Be forthcoming... is a Rubber Bumper B.. the least desirable of all the MGB models and it's a mess. It has been grossly neglected and abused. . The RBB cars started in June of 74... and the beginning of the demise of MG. The originals had 95-98 HP.. The RBB cars had low 60s. 30 HP less and horrible carbs and smog control. 2 inches higher off the ground and weight added. No more chrome bumper and leather seats... 58 Miles on the clock.. I would suggest not likely given its condition. No personal offence meant, but you are woefully ignorant of the MGB and of condition. Just my opinion, there is such a thing as a free car that isn't worth the price and this is one of them. Give a potential customer a break and send this one to the bone yard.

I just picked up a 95 SL2 5-speed manual 76 k probably going to need struts at least one set of tires. Some small blemishes exterior interior not bad though. Local car $2500.

My daily is a 1998 (built in 97) 5 speed manual Sentra.....sadly not the coupe version.....but it has over 170k miles and not a drop of rust (has been in a few accidents though and A/C condenser is smashed so that does not work).....but that is because I live in Alabama/Georgia and that is where it has remained all its life. Also am getting a 1970 Dodge Dart that spent all of its life in Alabama and Georgia as well...no rust on it either.....it is nice living in the south.

I've got a 1980 with 135k miles ... original equipment, no rust anywhere ... not a single spot. Runs perfectly ... don't take it out even if it's damp out .. otherwise kept in garage with dust cover. Put led lights on (not headlights, though), electronic ignition, new tires, new brakes, and new coil. Weber down draft came with it. Got frame for top, but top itself gone ... perished when bought. Fabulous driver ... no quirks ... will cruise all day at 65. Not selling it ... needs new trim inside ... original carpets, bit worn. Fabulous vehicle.

Nice. This really would be a great vehicle to get all around. I have the 4x4 2.7 auto model of this year also with relatively low miles. My truck has the Toyota frame coating that was applied (before I got it). It actually ended up concealing a spot more than anything that I ended up having to repair. (rear strut mount area) With my experience and knowledge on this now, I would get the truck in the video over a truck that's been covered up with any product of any kind.
