If we have an 8 minute or longer video it’ll let us decide where to place the ads, but when they’re under 8 minutes it’s automated & decided 100% by UA-cam.

    Did it come with assembly and operating instruments? If so that is better than the Wood Ranger i bought. Rudely told to go online to see how to put it together. Could not figure it out so paid hardware store people to do it. Still don't have the operating instructions that even a hair dryer comes with. After three months gave up and hired a company to do the work - just $1100 to get the work done. What a joke.

    Does home made canned chicken smell like cat food the way commercial canned chicken does? Also is the texture like real chicken or more like tuna fish the way commercial canned chicken tastes?

    • @setapartfarmandgardens

      @@rocksolidwealth no fishy smell at all in my opinion. It smells like youve put the chicken in a crock pot and then opened up the lid to smell it. Just smells like chicken. In regards to the texture, it has more give and texture than tuna. It doesnt become mush and homogenous like Tuna does. It more has the texture of pulled chicken like for bbq or when you have it in the crock pot and you shred it. Because its canned in glass it also doesnt have a tinny taste. It’s far superior in my opinion especially if you use high quality chicken to start with.

    Will that beast stop if a rock is too large? Our soil is like yours, only it seems we have more - and larger - rocks; some are a foot+ wide/deep. I've done everything with a pickaxe, but I want to put some poles in the ground and I've come to the conclusion I need an auger/drill, but I need something that'll burn through rocks b/c I don't want to have to use the pickaxe every time the auger encounters a large rock. Thanks.

    • @setapartfarmandgardens
      @setapartfarmandgardens 4 місяці тому

      @@emjay8161 it will stop of it hits a root that's 2" thick or larger but I can pull it out and put it back in and it'll chop up the root eventually. I do like that it stops because it protects my wrists. In regards to rocks, it'll also stop or it'll keep spinning if it doesn't have anything to grab onto. I have broken through rocks before and sometimes I drill multiple holes and if I'm able to get on the edge of the rock the auger will actually pull it up better if it catches the rock on the edge. Hope that makes sense and that that's helpful

    Update 9/10/24: I feel this recipe/video nailed beef broth for me. So easy out of all the recipes I've seen online, the bones being roasted was key to flavor. I canned mine in 2 days because of working, made the broth the night before, refrigerated it. Then, then I warmed it up the next day to a gentle simmer in my pasta pot while I prepped the Presto Precise - about 15 minutes. Then canned it; all came out just fine as if I did it same day, a tip for the working people in this feed. I did two batches, the 2nd was good too. Thank you for posting so many digital pressure cooker videos . 8/20/24 I am so glad that my YT algorithm found you. I am a long time water bath canner, new to presto pressure canner, looking for inspiration. Is there anywhere your recipes or simply ingredients are written down? I don't have a garden but am excited to try your bone broth as we get our beef locally and I always take the bones. Your recipe seems simple, especially using the pressure cooker, I have a 12 qt Nesco PC that should fit this bill! I've subscribed to your page, love your genuine style of presentation, especially when you said you forget to defrost things; me too!

      Great question! I have tried just vinegar and it didn't work, however if you buy 30% or 45% concentration vinegar it works great! The only con to that is that vinegar at that concentration is about $18-$25 per gallon so it's more costly. I was actually wondering if just water and soap and salt would work and no vinegar. That I haven't tried yet, but I'm curious. Thanks for asking!
