For the dedicated painter it's possible to paint a whole army I guess ... for me though it was just a small labour of love for a series I was into at that time :)

I am so sorry Sarah but it has been a bad habit of mine to not properly chronicle the paints I used in past projects ... something I plan to rectify going forward as it is frustrating when I myself try to recreate the colors I had used previously.While sometimes I do write blogs on WIP projects so I may have inadvertently listed some then, I'm afraid I didn't do it for this project! Sorry :(

Goblin Slayer figures are pretty rare in the first place to be fair. And a lot of good ones are in the upper-tier category which means they are pretty expensive :( Hope you liked the review though :)

I do have Thousand Sunny in my collection and certainly do plan to build and paint her eventually so that my post-time skip figures can pose next to it. Since it will be a massively time-consuming project for me ... I haven't quite decided when to start it yet :)

What I did was to apply the Mr.Weathering Color enamel paint directly onto the plastic part in fairly generous amounts. Following this I wiped off the excess enamel paint thus leaving the wood grain sufficiently shaded i.e. details brought to the fore. This is one example where you do not need to prime, paint, and panel-line a part. The base molded-in plastic color was already good and the incredible woodgrain details allowed me to use the technique I just described.

What color of “Mr.Weathering Color enamel paint” did you use, stain brown ?

@@brandonminshall120 It's been so long that I can't quite remember for sure. But I believe I used Ground Brown (the darker brown) ... at first it will look very dark ... you will have to rub a lot of the excess away using tissue paper so that you are left with what you see here. I hope this helps. ☺ My apologies for not remembering for sure. One of my bad habits is forgetting to write down the paint recipe of my work. 😞

I plan to but unfortunately I haven't gotten to them yet. It is certainly daunting when you first start painting miniatures of this scale. My first few attempts at miniature painting were nothing to shout about. But the hardest thing is to start. Once you do, and have a passion for it ... you'll by your own accord start researching paint techniques and practice willingly AND get better 🙂

You can try getting them online from Japan stores that sell pre-owned figures :)

Nice 🙂 ... Kaguya looks fantastic when you consider that this is just a prize figure. Of course it can't compete with FREEING's 1/4 scale bunnies but for the price this Furyu bunny is simply excellent!

I'm sure ... like me ... you are going to love her. It's insane to think us collectors are able to get our hands on such quality bunny figures without having to pay ridiculously high prices of the 1/4 scales.

Yes ... I have used it for just that purpose before. But mainly for small parts.

I kinda try to find ways to paint either individual parts or sub-assemblies with the least amount of masking needed :)
