Love this series but the situation of Syaoran and Sakura was so complicated. The anime did not explain it very well. The manga explains it much better but even then I had to read it a few times before I understood. As for the ending, it wasn't that sad I think. Yes, Sakura and Syaoran couldn't be together but Mokona said that the Clow Country clothes would lead the group back to Clow Country more often than other worlds. So Sakura and Syaoran can still see each other. It's a bittersweet ending I'd say.
