hey curly g ! nyuck ! nyuck ! nyuck !
Vincent Price was a true master and a gentleman......my favourite movies are the Phibes movies and the last man on earth...... I"m a big fan of Robert Mitchum as well.....did some great movies.....
Thank you, it was very interesting. Rita Hayworth is still one of those big names - Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis and Marilyn Monroe - who are original archetypes of style and glamour. Miss Hayworth certainly deserves a book of fabulous photos of her. As a man I want to add that without doubt many of those movie icons were breathtakingly beautiful in their youth, but as they they got older became more charismatic. And they certainly had their own unique persona.
Thank you all for your great work. Its a pleasure to see this Video. Iam 44 years old. In the past I loved Madonna she was my role idol. Now Iam older and I think Marlene was the mother of all divas. Iam thinking about Marilyn Monroe, Lady Gaga.....So many woman imitated her. I often think of Marlene, when I see Madonnas eyes and in Vogue you can totally see Marlenes influence. I admire Marlene very much. I like listening to interviews from Peter and Maria. They speak so loveling from Marlene and are very friendly. Now Iam waiting fir the recipe, for the Berliner 😋and hope to see Peter again soon. Many greetings from Germany ❤
Thank You!
A thousand thanks to our beloved host Karie and her wonderful guest Samantha! Another incredibly informative & entertaining episode! A longtime fan of the lovely & talented Margaret O'Brien. And those Rice Kiristie Drops sound & look totally deeeeelish !!
Another great HK episode! Who doesn't admire the wonderful work of the late great Rod Serling? What an incredible talent. KUDOS and THANKS galore are due this terrific trio: Karie, Bob & Marc. Wonderful to learn more about Rod's amazing life and career. 👍❤🤓
KUDOS & THANKS to this terrifically talented trio of ladies. Another wonderfully entertaining and informative episode. Simone's book sounds great & the pie looks scrumptious! Always enjoyed the performances of the late great Claudette Colbert. Equally good in both comedic & dramatic roles.
Great episode!❤😋🍴
I was finally able to watch the whole episode. LOVE IT! I'm a big fan of stuffing & love eating it any time of year. What Karie & Rick cooked up looks & sounds soooooo delicious! As a big Abbot & Costello fan I loved hearing Marki's stories & seeing Rick's memorabilia. KUDOS and THANKS to these three terrifically talented people! 👍🤓❤
As always, a world of thanks for uploading this HK episode here at YT! This is one terrifically trio of talented ladies. KUDOS to all! Wonderfully entertaining & informative! Carl Lammle was certainly one of the most important & influential of the Hollywood pioneers. I greatly enjoyed that documentary about him which I did watch a while back on TCM. What a wonderfully caring soul he was, helping so many people. The pork shrimp sauce sure looks yummy!
Have you ever thought about professionally (or even semi-professionally) filming and editing these videos? Love the videos being on UA-cam, but I have to admit that I find the low video quality and length challenging. Definitely not meant to be disparaging. Grateful for your passion and love the content! ❤
@@thevanillameringue I’d love to make it all more professional, but I would need help and I have no budget to pay anyone.
YAY
This is fantastic, I’m big fan and thought I’d heard everything about CB but this is amazing, David..wow thank you
Theda had a very hard look to her.
Very nicely made Yorkshire Puddings 🙂 We (I'm Yorkshire born) don't so much have Yorkshire Pudding with prime ribs, but with any meat usually on a Sunday (Sunday roast dinner with Yorkshire Puddings is a must) accompanied with mashed potato, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy made with the meat juices. Dating back to at least the 1700's (the first recorded recipe can be found in a book called The Art of Cookery Made Plain, printed in 1747), Yorkshire's were traditionally served and eaten first in order to fill the bellies, meaning you had to spend less money on more expensive things such as meat, which was served after the Yorkshire's had all been consumed. This tradition made it into the 20th century but after WWII more people began serving the Yorkshire's with the meat & etc at the same time. A very tasty take on the usual Yorkshire Pudding is Toad In The Hole, which is often eaten with just the gravy, or with the addition of mashed or roast potatoes. Before you pour the batter into a large roasting dish, add 2 - 3 pork or beef sausages per person (NOT hot dog sausages!) and roast as normal. BTW, we don't let the Yorkshire's cool down first, they are eaten hot 😉
A thousand thanks for uploading this wonderfully entertaining & informative video! Rick's collection & books look and sound totally awesome & amazing! These two fine folk are truly the "hosts with the most"! Who doesn't love Stan & Ollie? And the Yorkshire Pudding sounds & looks so yummy!
Many many thanks for Karie & Danny for a wonderfully entertaining & informative video! Always adored Lauren Bacall. Danny certainly has a beautiful home & marvelous collection of memorabilia! You two are truly a Dynamic Duo. Nice to see Lauren's autobiography on the table. Read a paperback version years ago & it's quite an enjoyable read!
beautiful video💔💔
Cats gone wild! Close Up making himself heard!😅
This lady looks great for meeting Theda Bara who died in the 50s if I remember correctly. I watched the seconds long report on TV. I am older than her! I meet Jean Harlow and I definitely remember like it was yesterday that she died in 1937. She is another cinema mythological creature like Bara if you ask me. Maybe I’m biased cuz she from my time hehe. I have only seen one of her pictures, (a fool something something). She was big when I was “hush hush” born and my grandfather loved her is how I knew about her as a child. ❤
We want the jelly donut recipe!!!!
Nice! 😃👍🍸
Always nice to hear about Rudy. 🤗
Your adorable PR agent sent me here.🐈⬛ What a great idea for a cooking show!🖤
I just finished watching this most recent HK episode. KUDOS to that thrilling threesome of Karie, Mary & Charles! Well done, team! Learned a lot about the late great Mr. Gilbert. Charles' collection of John Gilbert memorabilia is fascinating & I love those portraits of Mr. Gilbert that Kaire & Marie have. What a sad end Mr. Gilbert had but what an incredible life & career. Please keep up the good work, everyone! 👍❤🤓
I’m so glad I stumbled on this. I will look for David’s books. When he said ‘When I spoke to Billy Wilder …’ I did a double take. David looks to be in his 30’s and thought did he speak to Billy when he was 12? 😁 Time for another visit to see the Clara Bow memorabilia.
I loved this so much-i didn't want it to end!!! what a bonus to have theee source-David Stenn! what a hero. thank you thank you thank you!
Wonderful show!! I loved David's book

I watched all his interviews and his a great story teller. A grandson who is honoring his grandmother!
The Zeena seems like the strange lovechild of Vieux Carre and Sazerac.

Enjoyed watching this video SOOOO much ! What a great way to spend time on a quiet Christmas Day ! Kudos & Thanks to the MAX to Angie & Karie ! Never really knew much about Jack Oakie till now. Totally fascinating.....especially all the intriguing info about his & his beloved wife Victoria's famous "Oakridge" estate ! Certainly loved getting to see so much of the Jack Oakie exhibit there at the Hollywood Heritage Museum. If I ever am able to make it back down to LA, not only do I for sure want to take Karie's HF tour, but I definitely wanna check out that Hollywood Heritage Museum ! And the muffins of course look quite yummy ! Would love to have some with some butter & a cup o' coffee !

My daughter bought the book for me a few years ago, and I looked at it again yesterday, so to see you both is lovely!! Rita was such a good actress and dancer! She seemed to be so sweet too and of course beautiful! Btw Talking of Tyrone Power he was gorgeous and he starred with Rita in Blood and Sand. Thanks so much for video! 😊
