I was there at was then known as the California Speedway on October 31, 1999. We couldn't see the accident from where we were, we saw it on the video screen. When we saw the helicopter taking off I had a really bad feeling. Later I noticed his pit crew packing up their stuff and that the flags had been lowered. An announcement was made over the pa system but the cars were too loud so you really had a hard time making out what was being said but I knew. My buddy asked me if I understood the announcement and I said no but I'm pretty sure they were telling us Greg Moore didn't survive. My buddy wasn't real convinced until I pointed out the fact that the flags had been lowered. I felt ill and empty inside. I've never felt that way before and I hope I never do again. We had to leave we just couldn't stay there the way we were feeling. Later that night I saw that Adrian Fernandez had won and when asked about the win later he broke down in tears as did most of the drivers and through his tears he stated the win meant nothing as they all had lost a dear friend, Greg Moore was a very well liked driver. I was a Penske fan and Greg was going to join the Penske team the following year. This may all be in the video but I had to get this stuff off my chest before watching it. Every year for the past 25 years on October 31st.. I've said a prayer for him. RIP Greg.

12:05 in this commercial break broadcast rip, this version of the Heritage Minute might be a re-broadcast version, because the original 1991 broadcast (from March 31 to around 1992), had a different "A Part of Our Heritage" text font and had the "Mail Poste" logo on top of the screen and "The CRB Foundation" logo on the bottom.

Shoot, that car battery commercial really gave me a flash back. During a power outage from a hurricane me, my aunt, and my grandma went in the car to the next town to listen to the hockey game on the radio. If we had been able to power the tv in the car, we wouldve done that!
