Bad Larry 90L Packrafting Backpack Overview
Designed for the hardcore packrafter who carries a full whitewater kit deep into the backcountry. This pack will swallow a large Alpacka Gnarwhal or Valkyrie, with plenty of internal space for a drysuit, pfd, helmet and a week of food.
Once at the river, the hip belt can transition from the backpack to the back band in your boat, saving 7 ounces from the boat outfitting. For Class II trips where weight is super critical, the shoulder straps can also double as a lightweight two-point thigh straps ideal in a boat like the Alpacka Refuge for even more weight savings.
The Bad Larry also integrates with existing Sockdolager accessories like the Bow Bag, which can further reduce your overall system weight and add additional storage capacity. More accessory pocket options will be available soon.
The entire pack is designed to compress into a very tidy and small package for easy storage inside a cargo zipper on the packraft, and to fit nicely in the stern of even the smallest packraft.
Side pockets are large and dimensioned to fit a packraft blade and two 1 liter water bottles per side. Adjustable and replaceable shock cord allows you to easily tighten or loosen the pockets while hiking without removing the pack from your back.
Custom options include fabric and webbing color choices, sewn in front pocket, packraft hardware integration, over the top Y strap compression, roll top side compression.

I love that this is a pack designed specifically for packrafters rather than just adopted by them! I'll be getting hold of one for sure and possibly even a few to sell in our online store. Great work!!
Will the strap integration work with kokopelli rafts as well or just alpacka?
Tested for weight? I've a 80L and carried once 60kg and once 62kg in it & outside it (max volume pack and drybags strapped to it was 140 L). I don't want to carry move than 40-50 anymore byt if for 1h I've to do again 60kg, well i wanna have that option.
I am not even into packrafting - but this is awesome. Great design minimalism multifunctionality. Wishing you all the best in getting this to market.
As someone with high attention to detail, who has tried very many packs like this and written pack reviews, I'm stoked on the design decisions that were made on the Bad Larry. Thanks for presenting it so thoroughly and I think it's going to push the game one step further!
