Here's all of the ways I make money with music - selling beats - custom beats - mixing & mastering - royalties & album sales - merch sales - content (twitch subs, tips, ad revenue) - sponsorships / brand deals - consultations

I gather material from quite a variety of sources. Lots of royalty free sample vendors, a few master clearance guaranteed sources, and occasionally I'll collab or just make stuff from scratch in house to flip later. This one I believe was a sample I'd stumbled across on splice.

To me, I don't even think twice about it as I use to flip vinyl and would spend hours crate digging. I think that's a good place to learn hiphop production, as that's what hiphop actually is if you wanna get technical. Kinda hard to feel fake when you're literally starting with the pillars of hiphop. But if you get that down, then switching over to sample packs, collabs, and whatever you can build in house is just an extra challenge with a huge legal upside. That said, one sure way to get out of your head about it is to also make some beats without sampling just for the challenge. It's always good to push yourself. You just gotta understand that there's always gonna be some limitations. Like if you want a saxophone in your music, you're either gonna have to sample / collab for it, or literally go buy a saxophone and get to practicing. At which point, I think you kinda come back to the realization that making silly rules like "I must play every instrument by hand" can in fact hinder and limit you at the end of the day. Perhaps the more experienced producer is wise enough to not make up such silly rules for themselves. Food for thought.

That's because like me you made music and overthink it ....normal people who just listen to music don't think about things like that so just don't think and do

@@zebede4501 Agreed. The only thing that matters is how good the music sounds. Any made up rules that stand between you and that is just holding you back. Best to not get bogged down with creative dogmas.

For sure. It should automatically appear with your other plugins after running the installer. Have you installed 3rd party plugins before in ableton? You might just need to configure your plugins folder if you've never used it before. Once it's set up properly, you should be able to click "plugins" in ableton's side menu and find it there.

@@TapDaddyBeats When i put the plug in into a folder to put into to preferences in ableton, when I click on the folder it doesn't show up in it, even though its in there in file explorer. Weird
