Did Christ redeem you from the curse of the law that Paul is referring to in Galatians 3 when he said "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law"?
Grace❤
Did Christ redeem you from the curse of the law that Paul is referring to in Galatians 3 when he said "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law"?
It is good news that Christ has given the free gift of salvation. We just have to accept the gift. It is not by works, not by keeping the law. This is Paul's teaching that it is by Jesus' love and grace that all can be saved who accept Him.
@clevelandcommunitychapel6119 Please answer the question: Did Christ redeem you from the curse of the law that Paul is referring to in Galatians 3 when he said "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law"?
Hello my friend, this can be a confusing passage, and it is important to take it in context to Paul's message. The book of Galatians is Paul's encouragement to the church to not be "bewitched" by those trying to teach them that there is something additional to the grace of Christ that provides salvation. There is none righteous (not the person writing this, and I dare say in love and kindness the person standing in your shoes) and thus we need the righteous of the Lord Jesus. We are "redeemed" (bought back) from the need to observe the rules and regulations of the law and the judgement of falling short. Then, as a Christian, we love God and love one another with our thoughts and actions. Is there something more that concerns you about Paul's message?
@clevelandcommunitychapel6119 You were redeemed from the law of Moses?
@@clevelandcommunitychapel6119 Is your position that Christ redeemed you from the law of Moses? Yes or no.
Mr. Haney is that you? Were you ever part of the old covenant of law that Moses mediated?

Dear Self Thinkers, The law was ONLY given to old covenant Israel and has not existed for nearly two thousand years. Moses was never your mediator. You have never transgressed the law. You were never a slave to the law or freed from it. It was never your "schoolmaster" You were never under its curse. Christ did not redeem you from the curse of the law In fact, you were born "apart from the law. Paul said "sin apart from the law is dead and not imputed." You're sins have always been dead and not imputed" You're welcome.
Yes, God expects us to think and reason. It is clear that we are not under the law and that salvation is through Jesus and His grace. Nothing that we do.

😇😊TAZZ...IS THAT A...OLD KING JAMES BIBLE 😊😊😇
Yep, sure is!
Good sermon. I don't think demons made those pigs run down that hill. I think the pigs decided to drown themselves rather than have demons inside them. Pigs are relatively smart animals, according to what I remember reading in an encyclopedia when I was a young girl, and it was their choice to end it all. I like the account of the Gadarene that is given in Mark chapter 5 because of all the characteristics it gives you of a demon possessed person. Two of them are excessive crying and cutting oneself. You'll see this often in mental hospitals.. Or in Congress with the excessive crying of former speaker of the House John Boehner, Catholic and Pope lover, lol. I never knew anything about people cutting themselves until I was in my 50s, but "cutters" is a common word in the mental health field. I knew a woman who told me she used to do it, and heard about another woman who did that and eventually committed suicide. She was a pretty young woman and had everything to look forward to in life. Also, even if they could, I don't think a pig would choose to consult a Ouija board and risk having some demon latch on to it the way some kids, even from Christian homes have done. Hopefully Christian children are a little smarter than when I was young. Wish I knew more about Civil War generals, but I think most were Freemasons ......with the exception of Stonewall Jackson. I even remember his birthday.....Jan. 21....and that he liked to bite into lemons. Was in his birthplace back in 1980 and did not even know it.
That is an interesting perspective on the demons and pigs and I appreciate you sharing it! Did you work in the mental health field? Many tragic stories for the individuals and families that deal with these situations.
@@clevelandcommunitychapel6119 I have friends who work in that field and I hear the stories from them. I myself went through a bad patch of depression at one time, even though I did not feel depressed, but that is what one MD told me I had. I've learned a few things since then, and wonder if what I went through was caused by something else. I did not take meds for it and I eventually managed to pull through by the grace of God.
Thank you for sharing. When believers share how God has pulled them through the tough times it is encouraging for all. None of us are perfect and even though struggles are different we all need Jesus to walk with us.
Thank You Pastor for all you're doing to help us by remembering that Jesus showed us all the real example of sacrifice.

Never heard of rooster fighting with violets. What I did learn is how Appalachian kids would eat ramps to get out of school classes. I attended a church service in Brilliant, Ohio right near the West Virginia border, and the smell of ramps was in the air on that warm spring night. I considered it a treat.
Now you will have to be on the lookout for roosters and try your hand at a challenge! Our area ramp tramps are the last weekend of April. They are well attended events and folks look forward to them every year. Glad you have that memory!! Have a blessed day!
I read that North Carolina is going to get locusts coming out of the ground that they have not seen for 200 years....a combo of the 13- and 17-year locusts. Might get a little noisy.
Yep, they are really noisy every year but we are expecting to have an extraordinary serenade from them this year. Have a very blessed Resurrection Sunday!
My Grandma was a Kirkland.
Thanks for commenting....does your Grandma trace back to the bushwacking Kirklands?
@@clevelandcommunitychapel6119 Yes she does. I only learned of this part of our family's history about 10 years ago. When I was little I had visited my Great Grandpa Kirkland's farm south of Maryville, TN a couple of times.
@@phatfarmer3248 The Kirkland's ancestry is certainly interesting. The area of your great grandpa's farm is beautiful country.
It sure is. I still remember building hay bale forts in the barn with my brother, trying to ride an unsaddled horse, and pushing on a cow to where it stepped on my sisters toe. Good times, good times. I believe my cousin still lives there. I have a jar of my late aunts strawberry preserves in my freezer. She used to grow the best. So good but I dont want to eat it. That tree is "something else".
It is an amazing tree and I'm glad that McMinnville wants to protect it. It was a toss-up to see it when it was leafed out or now, so may have to go back in the summer to view then to compare.
I'll have to keep my eyes out for the hemlock trees up here. I like them because of their tiny pinecones, and I think I planted one in my backyard some time ago. I hope those devil bugs do not travel north of the Mason/Dixon line, lol. Don't want them up here. I never heard of any kind of bug destroying them, but I will look into it a little more. I'll be getting some tree seedlings from the Arbor Day people, but a hemlock seedling will not be one of them.
Around here you need to be in the mountains to find the hemlocks but sadly, there are just skeletons of these beautiful trees around now. During the winter the area was a beautiful place before those devil bugs with the green of the hemlocks, but more bleak when you get out and about these days. Look around and see if you have any in your area. I hope so!

We have to survive this weekend then by next Friday in the 60's!!
Nothing this world offers satisfies, only Jesus satisfies. A few years ago we went to Six Flags over Georgia with our church youth, while standing in line waiting to ride some ride we saw this guys shirt in line that says: "Every heart has a God Shaped hole, fill the void" We've all tried anything except what fills this emptiness that was lost when sin separated us from God. I'm very thankful Jesus never waivers seeking to save the lost. John 6:47-51 CSB [47] “Truly I tell you, anyone who believes has eternal life. [48] I am the bread of life. [49] Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. [50] This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that anyone may eat of it and not die. [51] I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
Amen! Always glad to hear from you and your continued faith to witness for the truth! After folks look in all the wrong places, may they find satisfaction with the Bread from heaven! Blessings to you!!
I can't recall ever seeing Sunbeam brand bread up here in the North, but I can recall someone else who used the bread bag as a lunchbox, lol. There's nothing that beats a good 'ol baloney sandwich. I haven't seen very much sunshine in the last few days, although it wasn't too cold today, We're headed for a pretty cold weekend up here. El Niño gave us a warm December, so can't complain.
I'm not sure either how prevalent Sunbeam bread is but it will give you something to look for when you are bread shopping. We are bracing for some bitter weather next week. We typically get a few days each year that keep plumbers in business fixing busted piping and insurance adjusters cutting checks. Stay warm and safe!!
Well, I hope you all get through the nasty weather o.k.. The next hour will bring the start of high winds and will last through Sunday morning. I've battened down the hatches as well as I can. So far, the weather threats have been worse than the actual weather, but this one might be an exception.@@clevelandcommunitychapel6119
