    … Thanks for this, i can decrypt ANY cipher now, the shifted one is basicallly alphabet but its reverse, and it put the ABC to the end, after Z.

      Hi there! If you’re trying to decode an encrypted text using shift cipher yet the key wasn’t given, then you just have to do all the 25 shifts and see what'll work. You compare the encrypted vs the decrypted letters. It’ll be faster if you’re having a program with you, MS Excel will do. ❤️

      If you're encrypting affine cipher, you have to be careful with the key to use. Notice that later on for decrypting, your "a" should have "an inverse modulo". Thus, for your key (a, b), your "b" can be any number but your "a" is restricted to those numbers that have an inverse modulo 26. Consequently, your "a" can only be those numbers listed in 9:03. So definitely, your "a" should be a number that is "relatively prime" to 26, equivalently, has a GCD equal to 1. I'm amazed you're getting the gist of my video. Thanks for watching!       Hi there! Are you referring to 15 being RELATIVELY PRIME TO 4? If no, kindly specify the time stamp of your query. If yes, note that two numbers are relatively prime if their greatest common divisor (GCD) is 1. 4 and 15, thou they are not primes, are relatively prime since their greatest common divisor is 1.       Hi there! In encrypting or decrypting using shift cipher, we just need the plain text (for encryption) or cipher text (for decryption) together with the shift key. The "left" or "right" that you're referring to is probably the shift key. Like, if you wanna encrypt, you'll move to the right; if you wanna decrypt, then you'll move to the left.     CORRECTION FOR THE FINAL ANSWER: (Pointed out by my student (Mr. Diaz), thanks to him!) The corner point (5,3) for that 190 profit is supposed to be point (4,3). Now, since (4,3) gives 170, the max profit to be considered must be that 175 instead which has the point (5, 2.5). Therefore, the conclusion must be: To obtain the max profit of 175, we have to produce 5 x's and 2.5 y's. My apologies for these faults, too: ☑️ intersection of lines A and D is (5, 0.4) and not (5, 0.2); ☑️ for 14:35, that's x=27/22 and not x=27/3. Thank you for bearing with me! ❤️
