Congratulations 🥳 huge achievement. 🎉
Ah thanks it was an epic adventure one I've been meaning to tick off for a while
Yes mate👍🏽👊🏽 I’ll tell big Phil I I’ve watched dred👍🏽
Yes dred mate👍🏽👍🏽👊🏽
Excellent vid! How did the sleeping bag work out as it appears to be very good, worth the investiment?
Pretty good bag I like how you can wrap up like a quilt what I did notice though if you don't have it attaches to the matt there is no insulation where the attach sleeve is so it becomes a cold spot...aside from.that plenty warm if used as intended
Your smashing out the videos mate. He watches them on the TV so doesnt comment that often. I was planning on watching them with him but works been too busy catching up after 2 weeks off.
@OUTDOORSQUADUK ah yea I get quite abit of down time at work so I edit them while I have a long break...just on my phone mind. Hoping to sort the new hero and a decent laptop soon get that production quality up.
Hey, I really enjoyed coming along with you on this section and you pretty much take your hiking as I do, not too much planning, like you say, yes I too spent years fitting hikes in around work but fortunately not any more. I’ve had a lot of holidays in the Dales and very familiar with Swaledale. In fact I have another little story, my dad did the c to c when he was 78 in B and Bs mind. He was with 2 other elderly chaps one 70 doing it for the 3rd time and the other about 73 he was almost blind and needed support from my Dad and Bob. I joined them at Reeth to just do the day to Richmond with them, good times. ❤️ Anyway ATB 🙏😊👍🏕️
@DaveGoodman1959 cheers Dave yes I like to wing it all the best stories tend to happen from it. Aslong as my gear is good and I'm prepared for what ever ahead I like to sleep n eat where ever I find myself. Has caught me out now n then as the next episode will probably show 🤣
Haha I think that was me and my friend Ash 🤣
@wheezywanderer hey was you picking the shrooms 🤣 how was Newcastle after all the stomping?
@@thefun-employedadventurer3011 no 👀 haha it was sooo busy it felt wrong 🤣
Wainwright,s my arse, there named hill,s.
Yes dred👍🏾👍🏾👌🏽👊🏽
Your videos are fantastic-you’re natural and energetic in your presentation. There’s just some room for improvement in content optimization. To boost your click-through rate, the thumbnails could be more eye-catching, and working on the hook could help increase average view duration. I’m a virtual assistant with extensive experience in helping chanels grow by enhancing these elements. If you're interested, we can discuss this further.
Canny video that Marra, love the channel. Just subscribed from a fellow UA-camr 😉👍
Just following your Anglesey videos .I went anti clockwise. Fascinating seeing it in different weather. Couldnt get across stepping stones as they were a foot under water and a strong tide. Llandwyn island is stunning .must have been amazing staying there.
I lucked out for the weather to be fair only one patch of rain...I think I went all the way around the stepping stones didn't realise 🤣
Hi there and nice to tag along on another of your adventures so thanks for that, not with your Dad on this one🙏 I did this route in 1987 with my brother, my first trail and I think I had 20 kg and my brother had 26kg but he posted stuff back home after a couple of days. Yes I stayed at Black sail a few times when bagging hills, I certainly never forget those times. Anyway ATB 🙏🏕️👍😊🍻
Ah cheers for watching, yea I reckon dad could have done it with a few extra days to finish. I really enjoyed it and how peaceful it is that time of year. 11 days finish in the end.
Nice one. Looks like you were lucky and got some good weather in the Lakes.
@RustyOutside 🤣 wait for next episode...nah 11 days and 3 with rain so I did get away with it
Yes mate👍🏾👍🏾
Get ready for some spammage 11 days that trail
Really enjoyed that Andrew and the old footage and the reminiscing and looking back. It’s an area I haven’t walked in along with the other area south east of Breamar. I must make an effort next year 🙏 🍻
Great story chaps I'm on it 9 sep 24 I'm 70 so be a bit slower we'll done just come back from pedders way did 10 miles of the coast path Wells
@andyevans8472 thank you for watching it was an amazing adventure, I did the Anglesey coastal path solo in June which is worth a watch too. Hopefully tick off the whole thing in sections one day
Yes dred 👏🏾👌🏽👊🏽👍🏾
Love this great views😍
Thanks, interesting vids, doing a bit of research on the Anglesey coastal for a project I’m doing, You come across as a super chap:), and I hope you take the following as being from a critical friend not as a fig. If looking to do more UA-cam then you see done time to learn some basic editing , A sound track here and there is good. Too many long silences As lovely as your face is … it’s too much of the screen , the camera needs to further back do you get the context of where you’re walking Mostly though…you need a better mic , than wind noise was painful , Thanks … did enjoy these:)
I want todo this walk next year what map are you going off??? Loving this set of vids
Ah thanks...I think my dad plotted this it's pretty well sign posted though n just keep the sea on your right n you're pretty much good it part of the Welsh coastal path so a pretty well walked trail
Yes mate🤓👍🏾👊🏽
Hi, did you use a guidebook for Llyn please?
I do very little research on the trails when I go to be honest I like to wing it somewhat...mainly download a gpx split it into 16-20 mile segments n work off that. And to be honest my dad planned this one for us and completely underestimated the milage he waned to do, all works out though
Amazing second installment mate, thank you, it looks like you had the best time. Can't wait for your next one. 💚👍 X
Where did you get your gas from?
@user-mo1qm8im8d I couldn't find gas in the town I started from...that gas was already in the mountain hut so I'd probably suggest cold food on the trail unless you can find a place in the Major town...
@@thefun-employedadventurer3011 great video by the way, watching Anglesey now.👍
Hi mate, I’m just catching up with you and this looks like a great trip, I did watch Dazs series of vids on the same route a couple of years ago and I’m sure it would be one I would enjoy. I did hike around the Isle of Man with my Dad about 20 years ago I never forget that one. Anyway what a brilliant adventure. 🏕️🙏😊🍻
Cheers bud I do alot of adventures with my dad also so check out them video out. ANGLESEY was a spontaneous one I wasn't expecting it to be so varied to be honest really will be spending more time there...hopefully on the kayak next time
Some fantastic view pal well done my G💪🏽😄👍🏾👊🏽👊🏽
Yes dred😃👊🏽
@kwameopoku5479 🤣 cheers bro the next one is out too now
Hey mate, just watched your video and can't wait to be there. Thanks for sharing, and look forward to the next installment when you post up. Cheers mate. Tracy & Tim.
Ah thanks for watching I hope it gave you some idea of what to expect...I uploaded the next episode yesterday so basically Hollyhead in one day and the top coast in that episode 🤘
Looking forward to any follow up videos 👍
Just started kayaking me-sel'. Are you still at it?
I actually help run a paddle centre with a friend so do it occasionally for work. I need to get out on more paddle adventures though
Yes mate👍🏾👊🏽
A good few hours off , I was losing my mind ,I was talking to myself ' never again ' kept going through my mind , lol big but ! The after fun effect kicks in at the end of every day ,when that packs off your back and with pint in hand 👍
Haha you did well it was no small feat and I had to push you to get to a decent place for the eve away from the tick nests and adders 🤣
Really enjoyed that. I'm looking at doing it over three days on my gravel bike and slightly concerned about carrying a 30l rucksack with all my gear. But you've shown me it can be done. Great to be sharing the adventure with your dad.
Awh yea were pretty keen mountain bikers to be fair so got plenty of pedal power in the legs. It's pretty easy going just 1 climb I had to push up. We had a big head wind or it would have been fairly easy over 2 days.
Let the bike carry the load, and half the stuff you’re considering carry, you don’t need.
What a great trip to do with your Dad, fantastic memories! Would love to do that myself one day. Thanks for sharing 😊
Awh yea was an awesome week adventuring dad's first time.in Scotland too. Not bad for an old fella 2 trails back to back
Yes dred 👍🏾👊🏽😁
I wanna stay in a bothy! So cool
For realsies
Love the Tartan pool table. Great vid very inspiring must get out on my bike soon.
Thanks man keep an eye out on the east highland way videos coming soon. Ggw and East highland back to back
Subbed
Yes dred 👍🏾👊🏽
Loved this video with my breakfast before my usual 10 mile cliff hike debs xx
This is why I would love a van. 🚐 ⛺️👍🏻
Yes, lad!! 10 out of 10 for you and Drew doing this. Hope your dad’s good
Well done. We had similar weather and views up pen y ghent a few weeks back lol
Well done to you all especially your dad 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My socks!! 👌 Haha I was wondering what happened to those. ❤. Very surreal seeing you visit where we'd just passed through. Great video mate
Ah to be fair I saw Craig's insta posts and was like that's round the corner from my house. And it inspired me to go check it out myself. Cheers man, it's more of a diary channel so I can show people when I'm an old fart 🤣
hey! I'm doing this trail this week. How did you get gas? was there only quick clip gas? Where on the trail was there water?
My gas was confiscated at the airport, so I pretty much lived off cheese and cured meat wraps, when I got to the mountain hut someone had left a stove with gas and I cooked up a chicken curry meal there. Take plenty of water I think there was one reliable water spot at a campsite about 1/3 of the way. Enjoy dude
thanks mate!@@thefun-employedadventurer3011
Just found your channel and have been enjoying going along on your adventures! This is a place I’d like to explore if I ever make it over there. Looking forward to seeing more in the future. Cheers!
Cheers my dude we just play at it in the UK I'm looking forward to getting over to America and other crazy countries where I can get really lost in the wilderness
Great video! Beautiful day! Love the Watkin Path! (The pools are sublime - love swimming there!) 🏴 Litter is f*cking vile there though. Such a shame. I despise those peoole!! x.x
*peoPle
Awh thanks, was a lovely weekend of good weather, frosty hikes n a lovely beach side bush camp. Can't beat a long weekend x
@@thefun-employedadventurer3011 It looked awesome :) x x
Hi, just watched your video which was great thanks - I’m coming up with three friends at the end of April - we’ve never climbed it before - one of my mates is very unfit, would he be able to do this route do you think?
@@christianclark8530 I wouldn't advise someone who is very unfit to attempt.. he should either get some training in or avoid. It's not an easy climb. Very steep and uneven ground and a good distance with elevation x x
Nice overview of the peninsular walk, thanks for all the effort. Hope your Dad enjoyed it, by him a pint or two
Haha it was his idea to be fair, had us down for 24 mile days in the original plan...glad we scaled it back abit so we could enjoy the beautiful weather n beaches.
