This is a collaboration channel of trans and gender non-conforming (gnc) Asians and Pacific Islanders (API). This channel is for trans/gnc API individuals to share their narratives and experiences of how they navigate and negotiate their identities. It is difficult to find other trans/gnc API people and hear narratives that are similar to our unique experiences of being trans/gnc and API. We hope this channel could be a tool to ease that difficult search, to create a support system and community, and ultimately, show other trans/gnc API people that you're not alone.

Hey there, Ethan here. Being a good ally is complex and largely situational and an ongoing conversation. There's no real rule book or anything, you kind of just learn by doing really... I guess I say it's complicated a lot. But such is life I guess. :P

What did you mean by "there are many different terms for trans identities that are rooted in certain API cultures" are you just speaking about different languages?

Good video. Since I am not API at all, I didn't quite know exact what you were talking about for the most part, but I think it's nice to hear trans people from other cultures. I learned a little more about what API trans people go through in our/your society.
