Meike Canon mirrorless lens adapter review
Переглядів 18110 місяців тому
Mirrorless cameras can't directly accept DSLR lenses since the bodies are thinner due to the remove of the mirror mechanism. So, the companies have changed the lens mounts. But, the older lenses can be used with an adapter, which can be a bit costly. Fred found the Meike adapter and tried it out on his Canon R7 mirrorless camera. Here is his review!

Watched a lot of reviews from pro photographers and most of them were not impressed
Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for the review. I was hoping that this setting was better. I was originally looking at one for doing multi layer panoramic photos using a telephoto lens to make a high res wide angle lens. I was also wondering. Does it also save a raw file on the memory card of the camera or just the memory card in the arsenal
Thanks for your comment! Yes, the camera saves a RAW file on the camera memory card, that's what we used when we evaluated the Arsenal for the sunset test video here on UA-cam. While the Arsenal does a pretty good choice stitching images together, the timelapse feature and the focus stacking, we still feel it is better to learn to do those operations yourself which gives you the control over the final image!
Excellent Video!
Thank you!!
Is this stitching in Raw?
I don’t know, but that’s a good question. Best asked of the Arsenal people. I strongly suspect that the stitching is done in JPEG.
My brother gave me a Typhoon but I have never flown a drone b4. Is this a good BEGINNER model?
The typhoon is a good drone, but I don’t necessarily recommend it as a beginner drone. It’s not as stable or easy to fly as some of the newer drones. But it is certainly a good drone to teach you flying skills!
The only two things I use arsenal for is wildlife photgraphy as a remote viewer and holy grail timelapses. Not sure Id pay $300 but I got it preorder for $200 and worth that for what I use it for.
@@Ripzalot glad to hear you found a good use and it’s working out for you!
Elliott and Ricky 🧐🧐🧐
Looks two older gentlemen that have problems with technologies. I experienced none of these issues with my arsnel
I think we were just insulted! Actually we are both senior technology analysts by trade, and we stand by our reviews of the Arsenal - over hyped and over priced! If it works for you we are happy for you!!
Every review of this product says it’s complete garbage!
We won't go quite so far to call it garbage, but in our testing we found that it was absolutely over hyped! It did not live up to the promises and we didn't feel it is worth the price asked. You are better off performing the tasks yourself!
We wished if we could see Arsenal setups more than the channel owner's faces.
But we are so good looking!! See our previous videos about the Arsenal if you wish to see more about the setups.
What is the Arsenal 2 actually aims to do is create a "fine art nature and landscape photographer" out of a monkey with a wallet who picked up their first camera last month.
That’s funny!
I completely agree!!
This is THE place to do it when there! Such a fun experience
Thank you gentlemen. AI is a joke in my opinion.
@@daryl0063 we can see both good and bad in AI. We just don’t like it used in place of human creativity!
Subscribing just because you two made me laugh. Just a couple of gentlemen with great views
Hey thanks Daryl! Appreciate the comment and welcome to The Fotobug!!
Thank you! I was considering a purchase, and I really appreciate your opinions. I will try and find your online courses instead.

Did you go across the street to the over flow storage . curious if Kermit mage any progress on the hellcat or P38 since i was there 5 years ago
No, that is currently closed to the public, sadly. They rotate the planes to be displayed now.
Love that place it's been a few years I lived I lack land . Great collecting
Thanks 👍
Paint on planes. I see old world war 2 aircraft in museums and they are SHINY. And then I see photographs/footage from the war and the planes shown are very much MATT. Why is this?
My guess is that museum aircraft are cleaned up and shined for show, but warplanes were for battle and clean and shiny wasn’t a priority!
@@TheFotobug Shiny reflects light and that means an increased chance of being seen. I wondered if it was wartime paint vs peacetime paint?
Excellent point!!
Fa-nasty?
HA! Well we screwed that up didn't we?? Should have spell checked it!! Thanks for pointing that out.
Great video! Thank you so much.

Gents, when one is looking to view these sorts of videos, one is looking to information about particular products. One is not looking to spend time watching someone attempt to take something out of a box, or screw it onto an adapter, just the pure information. Sadly, due to the frustration caused by the needless fluff in this video, I did not have the desire to continue to the end to ascertain whether the product was positive or not. Sorry gents but please get to the point much quicker!
Thank you for commenting! This review was done years ago and we agree with you! I believe our reviews have improved since this was taped!
@johnie2johnie: You'll reach your finish line sooner if you are that impatient. 👻

It really acts up over water……
Yes, it has no GPS and the bottom camera that tracks ground position is easily fooled by reflection in water!
Great interview guys. Love his work.

Not at that price!!!
Keep an eye on sales for the holidays! We saved $100 on ours on Amazon!

in the uk they will fall under the rules for sub 250 gram drones lol rid anybody
I'll be heading to the UK in March (2024) and was hoping to use it, but in England apparently you still need permission to bring one in and you need to pass an exam - even for under 250grams. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
hi you will need a operator id cost £10.33 has to be displayed on it and remote id might be in force by then or just send it sod the rules yer on holiday have a good time @@TheFotobug
@@ododargo Hi! Thanks for the update - yes the Hover Air X1 does not have remote ID - not required for under 250g here in USA - yet! Appreciate the update!
@@TheFotobug True story - I moved to Borneo 20 years ago. Tried ordering some plastic sporks from ebay, was blocked because my account is a UK. Plastic sporks are too dangerous for the UK. Could take someone's eye out with a soft plastic spork, if you try really hard and they're cooperative...

A better deal! Learn to use it and you will be better off!!
I’d say the best way to describe it is that it’s a flying selfie stick.
Agreed! I believe we said something similar in the review! It does have some limited manual control and we plan on a follow up to test its limits!

Comes out to £380 in UK money (Yes am in the UK), a nice little cameradrone though I cannot afford it due to canal boat / life stuff. Have subbed ya channel, loved ya video, thanks for being real people 🙂
Hi and thank you for your comment. Yeah, that's a bit steep - about $475 usd. We're hoping the price may come down a bit. BTW - we don't receive any freebies for our reviews - we buy everything we review out-of-pocket! More to come!
21:00 oh i also hate vertical videos, am sure apple stuff films like that or at least it comes across that way. I don't do tiktoc or insta or anything like that, I been online since 1994 and have a #1 search on any engine website since 2003.... even today on Google too and not paid for either 🙂
Awesome Video my friends! Great tips! I plan to visit CC around January 20. Will that be a good time to see them?
The owls are pretty much there year round, but likely won’t be nesting yet. Start at the library and then make your way around the local neighborhood! Look for the pvc poles!
How’s life?-oY, epic ! 🤞
If the price were exactly the same between PD CF and the Heipi (which currently they are), would you pick one over the other? Also, would you go for the Ulanzi Zero y (with F38 head + center column upgrade) if it were only $300?
That’s a tough one to answer as we haven’t tried the PD CF although Peak Designs are excellent tripods. Same goes for the Ulanzi . I believe whichever you choose among these three you will be happy!
awesome, thank you! @@TheFotobug
