Thanks bro. I have a 2015 and it was a PITA to unplug them i actually had to break the metal tab to unplug because pressing on them was not doing it.
Glad I could help !
Thank you so much, bro!!! You're the first person I've seen to explain it, including, pulling the bulb. 😀
How long did they end up lasting?
Still going strong.
Thank you!! will be replacing mine today
2010-2013 Camaro RS with HID headlights use a D1S bulb with a different connector. At least mine does anyway
my 2010 is like this too
Question can you drive with a different set of headlights
Did the new ones work for a long time or no? Just wondering if cheaper is the better option
2 years bro. Still going strong 👍🏽
@@hustleonabudget4930 let’s go bro, just ordered mine from the link! Thanks!
Thanks for posting this! Saved a ton of money doing it myself. 🤙🏼
Love to see such comments 👍🏽
How do you screw the bulb back into the housing? No matter what I do it wont go back in
Did you manage to get it done ? The housing clamps on the bulb.
This is way easier than taking to the shop. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
How long did they last?
1.5yr in, still going strong. Not bad for $35.
I cant seem to take it out. Stuck
It’s a grey piece on the outer rim. Comes out anti clock wise.
@@hustleonabudget4930 i finally took it out, i was actually trying to twist the entire piece with the bulb
Definitely saved me some money! Thank you
Couldn’t get the bulbs to turn and come out. 😢had to take it in
Wow, I’m sorry. It’s ever so slightly tricky but not that bad. Hopefully you did not end up paying a lot.
Do not buy these bulbs they are trash!
Hey, have mine on for over a year. Still going strong.
Thanks when i get off its dark.
This video helped me out today quick and easy
Much appreciated!!!
I don't know the cutoff (maybe 2010-2012?) - but my 2010, one of the first made, needs D1S not D3S. The plug itself is subtly different - the indentation from the rectangular opening is in a different place, the D3S simply will not fit. Maybe as the first step the user should take off the black cap on the back of the headlight; but then move camera down and take a photograph of the back of the existing bulb. The Sylvania I picked up at the car parts store (after the D3S didn't fit) happened to be the exact same model/manufacturer/label as the original/stock HID bulb I had on my car.
It might be 2012. Thanks for the updaye
The 2012 is a D1. 2010 is a D1. The D2 and D3 came after 2015.
Brother you just saved me 750$ ! Bravo for this video!
Love it. Glad I could help
What do you do if the last part its stuck in there..housing holding the light bulb..?
It just hard to get out but it is needed to snap back on
Bulbs
Bulbs
Where is the link for the bulls?
It’s in the description
what name thing that go a round light
HID LIGHT. Link in description
How can I replace the light around the bulb??
Sorry I have not gotten to that yet.
Am having trouble snapping out the actual bulb from the camaro
It needs to turn anti clockwise in order for it to come off. It’s not just the bulb, it’s the complete piece that comes off. Lemme know
@@hustleonabudget4930 heard thank you, will give it another go
@@hustleonabudget4930 got it! That was the issue, I was trying to pull it backwards. Thank you so much for the video, huge help!
What is that circle bulb part called? They keep asking me what kind sand I don’t know. I have a 15 rs
HID highlight bulbs. I have added the Amazon link in the description as well
@@hustleonabudget4930so my halo light will still be on if I take out that bulb that you replaced - I am just going to ride with the halo light if it still works after taking the that bulb out - left bulb is burned out so I was just going to take the right bulb out and ride with halo - will that work?
@@christopherbrock8913 it should work but it’s a high beam, low beam thing. You might need it sometimes but it should be ok.
@@hustleonabudget4930 i couldn't get the bulb out - the adapter piece that has the wires turns but I can't pull it out - should I keep pulling? I didn't want to pull too hard and mess up something - in my mustang you have to keep twisting and turning until it gets to the point where it will be able to release then you pull it on out - but this one want twist or turn anymore - it only turns and loosing up but want come out - it is definitely loose after I turn it but that's all I can get
@@hustleonabudget4930 fog lights at the bottom of the bumper are soo bright that I can get by with the halo alone - but like I said, I can't get the bulb out tho
Does it work on the left one as well? For a wired controller anyway.
Yes it should. They are built the same way.
Safety reminder you should not wear metal on your hands when working on your car
Is there a trick to get that pin out?
You have to carefully hit the pin down and eventually it will pop out.
Ugh no one on yt is showing how to adjust them 😒
What you mean “adjust them” ??
@hustleonabudget4930 like aiming them up or down this is the only car ive had trouble with 😭😂
@@AeroDogMusic it gets aimed down. I did mention that in the video. Once I place it will turn clock wise to clamp on. Lemme know if that works.
Thank man got it done in 5 mins
YW. Glad the video was helpful.
Very helpful thank you now I can replace mine myself.great video brother
YW. Glad the video was helpful.
How do you put the light back in? Like is it supposed to lock in place horizontal? I think my light burnt thru the housing, any advice?
Hi ! The white round connector needs to be snapped on the new light from the old non working light. Then it will twist clock wise and lock in.
This really helped me , Preciate it G
NP. Enjoy 👍🏽
You helped me change my 14 Camaro RS HID light thank you so much!!!!!!
That’s awesome

I’m glad it worked for you :)
This helped me alot! Thanks
I’m glad it worked for you.
The 2010-2012 Camaro's have a different headlight housing.

Great thanks a lot
Man this the best one yet .Thanks .
Thank you bro 👍🏼…now i van dl it myself. Dealer wanted to charge over $500 to replace 1 lightbulb
Haha. Less than $50 get the job done
why didnt make led light bulbs for this car my ss has this type light bulb already try different modelsand still hard to see at night 😥can you post a video at night to see how looks in the road i will apreciated
It looks great. Very bright at night. Still working perfectly fine
Do you twist the bulb or the retainer ring when you insert it
You have to twist & snap the retainer ring on.
@@hustleonabudget4930 so I turn it counter clockwise then insert it and turn it back clockwise
@@fnscar1716 No. it just gets inserted in making sure the socket is facing down towards the ground. Once in you twist it and it snaps on
@@fnscar1716bulbs are make for dummies. They can only be inserted a specific way so just turn it till it goes in then turn it again so it doesn’t come out
My car was stolen and they stole my bulbs and I just bought the same ones but I'm missing that white latch part of the bulb. Do I need that or how do I buy it and what's it called
It’s called hid bulb retainer clip/ring. It’s needed to keep the bulb locked in place or else they will fall out. It should be generic even if it says it’s for a different model. You might have to try a couple different ones but it will be a must.
@@hustleonabudget4930 okay I see a few on Amazon but some say they don't fit 2010 camaro but I have d1s hid xenon bulbs and the rings I found literally say d1s hid xenon ring clips. So I just wanna make sure it fits even tho amazon says it doesn't. Im thinking maybe because some camaro have h13 bulbs but I have d1s hid
@@fnscar1716 it’s the way the retainer will clamp on the vehicle. It not necessary it will fit. The bulb are used in different vehicles but the snap on mechanism might vary. You can still order and Give it a try, worst come to worst return it.
Nice, now I know what to buy for my RS! Thanks 👏
Thank you, very helpful for me. How have they held up so far?
Three months strong and imo better than the factory ones.
Thanks dude. This is exactly what I was looking for.
I’m glad it was helpful. Lemme know how it goes 👍🏽
Hey if I take that bulb out will my halo light still work or is that all connected with that bulb?
@@christopherbrock8913that’s what I’m wondering
