This is a great two player game if both players like Lords of the Rings. Very thematic :)

Very interesting game. Looks rather solo friendly as initiative and drawing counters makes it not possible to plan sevreal turns ahead. Asa European American Civil War is not evry common for me to play (even if Frenach 6 indian wars & ACW it has it's fans in miniature games).

The Germans are so overstreched in the East. A Soviet free attack card or double move could just destroy the Eastern front (knowing the Soviets have many combat cards)...

I figured out how to resize the box, but everytime i play the game i have to resize it again. Is there a way to save it where i dont have to keep resizing it evertine i play?

Great job on the video! I'm recording the same scenario tomorrow and wanted to check that I had things right. Small note, I didn't hear you mention the +1 bonus for your roll to reduce and suppress the escort after intercepting them, since in both cases I believe you killed at least 1 enemy fighter. Wouldn't have mattered for either roll, so not a big deal :)

I just started playing this game and I am in the middle of battle trying to figure out how to use an item to get my fear level down and then I will need to eat food. I have all of these items I press X and all it wants to do is move the stinking item. So frustrated. it could be done in battle, right?

Ok i fo this but i dont get the little hand that allows me to select stuff. After i go into virtual mouse mode i get a a small word balloon with 3 dots, not a little hand. I move that around the screen. When i place it on the mouse icon (which is a word balloon with 3 dots) to press R2 it just advances the text. Im beyond irritated. I need help

Sorry to see you discontinue the playthrough, but I totally understand.I was playing along right with you through Turn 4 and had to quit because my gaming table had to move. But for me the Map was so huge, I had to stand to play it and like you said, the turns were so long which for me, not having a you tube channel doing playthroughs and not having a time schedule, it was not as big a problem because I'll have a game like this on the table for months because of my time schedule with work and what not.I really enjoyed your playthroughs on this and hope to see some more that I can play along with.Not sure what you are going to do next but one suggestion is one of the White Dogs Games and the one I am getting ready to play and that is Global War,1939-1945 solo game from Ben Madison. Just a thought...Anyway keep up the good work buddy

My previous grand strategy favorite was Unconditional Surrender, but this might dethrone the king. I like that the boring side (ie the punching bag reich) is left as secondary and the players are both on offense. Definitely a keeper. This game can be completed in two full days of gaming (the wargame weekend), so it's definitely about par for the course in wargaming. Only the most simple grand strategy is shorter, really. I think Unconditional Surrender is about the same play time, but it has shorter scenarios (which I never play - go big or go home).I think I like the combat here better than Unconditional Surrender.

Loved the series. Thanks for playing it as far as you have. It’s a great aid. I definitely plan to play one of the later ones with out naval.

Sad that you won't finish it but if someone tries to make a video without really caring for the subject it will show. You got me to buy the game anyway and it will hit my table soon.

Hey. Thanks for your great videos! During the Soviet attack (around 10:26) you forgot to add the flanking units to attacker strength, should have been +2 or +3 strength points (can't really see how many units in the stack on the video) making it 3 German losses in the later case. Cheers

45:12 - No Hun in the sun if it's cloudy, right?

22:45 - You realized that the guns were jammed after placing a damage marker on the bomber, but then didn't remove it after rolling odd for the jammed roll.

26:16 - You should have drawn the fourth damage counter because it might have taken the dorsal gunner out, making it safer for the other fighter that still had to draw a card. It ended up not mattering, but something to keep in mind.

16:10 - Wouldn't the hit from the return fire be canceled since the dorsal gunner had been taken out?

Ugh..Tough roll on the invasion attack...I totally forgot about landing there which would be easier than landing in Sicily (Which I have done). I also flipped the beachhead to the Mulberry side totally forgetting that it is a permanent harbor now. Also one of the errata the designer came up with is, that you have to have control of the Atlantic Strategic Warfare Trac to land Units there(Mulberry Harbor) which makes it that much more difficult, so when you to flip to Mulberry Side, just a mental note to think of. Also thanks for clarifying on the that re-roll card you used which was in the OKH hand, didn't know you could use that for the Western Faction.

Hey Scott,At 11:14, On the second attack by the OKH, you added 1 for the Soviets for having more elite badges but it looks like the OKH 3Pz also has one so wouldn't that cancel each other?
