I have this inside my wooden shed, and they work pretty great. In the summertime it doesn’t get too hot on the inside. If however, I happen to be inside of the shed on a hot day, because of my body heat it traps that heat in. So essentially this keeps any heat that is coming from the inside of the shed and retains it. It’s a pretty cool product. With no one inside of the shed, it keeps it pretty cool. I definitely wouldn’t go inside my shed, though in the summertime even with this insulation up. It’ll get hot fast.

Depending on your climate you should study would this cause moisture to get trapped in between the two panels regardless of which way you're doing it.

For Michigan winters, go with a 1.5” or 2” foam board then you should be good in a small space. Having said that, 2” foam board isn’t much of a cost difference than fiberglass insulation. Insulation is meant to help maintain a controlled temperature rather than regulate it. Also, sheds are not usually “air tight”. If I were to convert a shed to be a temperature controlled space, I would insulate, spray foam all gaps, and install an exterior door.
