    I have such a bad fear of needles and just watching this made me feel lightheaded because of the needle (lol, ugh!). I am on autoinjector and have been for 4 months, but gosh I am giving up on it. I used to be on a pill but now, every time when I have to inject, it takes me an hour at least to mentally prepare myself because I can’t stop crying. I’m pretty young still, and am debating on moving to a new pill-form medicine which brought me here since my pharmacist also recommended a syringe instead of autoinjector. I think I might faint if I get a syringe but I’m so glad to have seen your video just to be prepared for what it’s like. Enjoyed your commentary and demonstration- thank you! Wishing there was a cure :’) does it hurt when you inject yourself with the syringe? What I don’t like about the autoinjector is that loud clasp and I’m just so stressed already :( also you’re so pretty!

    Hello, I know this is an older video but I am just now seeing this (diagnosed with Crohn's as of December after years of suffering, gallbladder removal that likely wasn't needed,on my second biologic currently and at least frequency has calmed other symptoms not so much, etc.). Thank you for making me feel not so alone. I had taken a leave from work under the company's private benefits provider. They denied my extension midway through my leave and just denied my appeal I had sent with legal assistance from a good disability lawyer where I am located. All of this has created a situation where I have exhausted all my resources and backed into a corner where I am going to have to return to work before I feel physically or emotionally ready. I am gonna do the damn thing BUT I have to continue having a place to live and be able to pay bills/take care of my dog. Currently I have finally hit a point where I am grieving my chronic illness and that normal health will never be that previous version of normal again. It is so much more than alot having Crohn's and it is very helpful knowing other people are living with it and figuring it out because maybe my anxiety and stress about returning will end up being a bit overblown.

    Your in pain because most likely your allergic to something u eat. Most Crohn's patients are allergic to wheat gluten which is a man made hormone place in wheat to taste better... It is not the wheat itself.... i experience joint pain when I'm having an allergic reaction. Also, wheat gluten is in most foods but sometimes when you consume more of it or consecutively you'll start to have an allergic reaction. Thus, for joint, muscle or body ache pain....

    Hello, thank you for sharing! I have a few questions! My daughter and I both have Crohn's and the Dr started her on the same injection after failure of the infusions after 6 months. She really is a trooper; she is 8 and has been going through this for the last few years also..but we have been doing the injections in the thigh because we haven't really been able to grab to much fat yet.. But how much is enough? any idea? and do you have some of the fluid come out of the injection site? she has been complaining of her leg hurting a lot so then I'm worried I am doing it wrong.

    • @thatcrohnslife
      @thatcrohnslife 3 місяці тому

      @@lindz020509 The thigh is a harder spot (skin is tougher) so it hurts a little more and some fluid can come out. Try doing it after a shower or bath when the tissue under the skin is softer. Maybe try the stomach, the tissue is much softer to inject into on the sides of the belly button. As far as how much to pinch, it should be enough that most of the needle can go into the “roll” to prevent you from injecting into something too deep. Hope this helps!

    Thanks so much for the video. My doctor messed up the order and sent a prescription for a prefilled syringe instead of a pen. The pen was super easy. I received the syringe via express way to not miss my dosage just because someone screwed up the prescription. No trainings whatsoever, so your video is helping me calm down. I see that you made this video a while ago and hope you feel much better by this time. ❤

    hey, just a question: is it normal that a bit of liquid is leaking after I remove the syringe or it means that I did something wrong?

    • @thatcrohnslife
      @thatcrohnslife 5 місяців тому

      If it’s a little bubble, that’s ok every once and a while. What it means is that you need to adjust your angle and try a “softer” spot next time. Maybe a different side of your stomach. This prevents anything from being pushed out from pressure.

    I know this video is old and I'm late to the party, but thank you for this. I kept searching 'Humira injection videos' and all of them were for the one with the button, and I'm getting the syringe. I adjusted my search to 'Humira syringe injection' and your video was the first to pop up that was what I was looking for. I am not scared of needles, but the idea of injecting myself was getting me a bit frightened. This has eased that quite a bit, and I'm hoping in a few weeks the medicine will be in my system and hopefully my arthritis will be under control.
